Brett King, Billionaire. Yeah, that’s me. Once, I had everything: power, looks, fame, an obscene amount of money, a trophy wife, and a beautiful little boy. Then, in a blink of an eye my enviable life was taken away. I was left with nothing except my dirty money and my heart of stone. I looked in the mirror and could not recognize myself. God had a sense of humor. I was ugly inside and now I was ugly outside too. It was divine justice. I retreated to my castle in Wales and allowed no one to come face to face with me. My staff carried out my instructions and asked no questions. The only thing left to me was to acquire more money that I would never spend. The months passed and I grew accustomed to my isolation. As I roamed about alone I even began to appreciate the darkness of my life. I lost interest in the world outside the thick walls of my castle. Nothing held any interest for me anymore. Until she came. Charlotte Conrad, the nanny. At the end of every evening we communicated through the intercom system. She kept me informed about the progress she was making with my son, Zachary. I was just an employer listening to his employee, but slowly, insidiously, I began to imagine her young body; soft and sensuous against mine. I wanted to take her. I wanted to hear her talk dirty to me. I wanted her to unleash the wild, unrestrained animal that was lurking inside me. I was becoming addicted… Review: “ She had no idea she had woken me up from my deep sleep.” - “It’s not pity. I’m just angry, that you had to go through all of this without me by your side.” Great read! Though it’s definitely a stand-alone you first meet Charlotte in Nanny and the Beast (another great read). It’s definitely a slow burn romance. Jillian, the hero’s wife is absolutely intolerable and despicable. The woman is a psychopath. I thought I would never enjoy a book with “cheating” in it but I don’t consider it that. Brett and Jillian haven’t been married in anything other than name for three years and she cheats on him constantly and throws it in his face. Even so, he doesn’t technically get together with Charlotte until after he hands her divorce papers. Charlotte is a great heroine that falls in love with this broken man and truly cares for his son. It’s a great angst filled read that I definitely recommend. Review: SENSUAL, SEXY, & SO MUCH MORE!!! - Title: The Man In The Mirror Author: Georgia Le Carre Designation: Full-Length, Standalone, No Cliffhanger, Contemporary Billionaire Romance My Rating: Four Sinfully Sexy Stars**** Wow, what an unexpected and very delightful surprise! And why is it such a surprise? Because I detest nanny/wealthy employer story arcs. It's one of my least favorite tropes, so I can't believe I'm saying this, but I really enjoyed The Man In The Mirror. A few months ago, Le Carre released Nanny and The Beast which I quickly dismissed it as not my cup of tea, simply because of my preconceived judgments of all nanny/employer plot device constructs. But even after weeks had passed, I found myself still thinking about the book and doubting my decision. A few days ago, Le Carre released a second nanny/wealthy employer book, The Man In The Mirror, featuring one of the secondary characters from Nanny and The Beast, and once again I found myself intrigued, tempted and torn. Now I should insert here that I became a Le Carre fan 5 years ago after reading The Billionaire Banker Series and generally purchase all her new releases, but I didn't want to spend my hard earned money on books I felt sure I wouldn't enjoy. But for some inexplicable reason, I couldn't stop thinking about either book, so I decided to place my trust in Le Carre as an author and purchased both. Best decision ever! Neither of the books was the same tired, old, clichéd stereotype I thought them to be - they were so much more than I could have ever imagined! Never have I been happier to admit my misconception. I fell in love with the mysterious Yuri and kindhearted April in Nanny and The Beast, and I simply adored the tortured Brett and spirited Charlotte in The Man In The Mirror. Le Carre's sensual prose, skillful plot progression, superb character development, and easy-to-follow first-person narrative with clearly defined his and her perspectives captured my undivided attention and held me prisoner, completely spellbound and enthralled, from the first page till the last. So, did I like Nanny and The Beast and The Man In The Mirror? Yes, very much! Georgia Le Carre, you accomplished the impossible, something no author has been able to do in the last 65 years - you completely changed my opinion of nanny/wealthy employer romance tropes! I'm almost 70 years young and it takes a whole heck of a lot to change my mind about something, but you did! I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks after all! lol... Will I read this author again? Absolutely! Would I recommend this book? You bet! Actually, I recommend both books but only for adult readers since each contains tortured, dark heroes, sassy heroines, explicit language, and graphic sex (dreamy love scenes). And finally, was I entertained? Completely! Fabulous entertainment and awesome reads!

The Nanny and the Man behind the Mask!
One of the best books I have read this year! Charlotte Conrad takes a job as the Nanny for Brett King's son Zackary. She finds a precious 5 year old boy who is not allowed to go outside, is told his dad is a monster, and is skittish around his uptight Mother. Brett hides his face behind a mask ever since he was in a bad car accident years ago, half of his face is disfigured, and he stays locked away in his side of the castle thinking no one wants to look at him. He communicates through an intercom system. The thing I loved about this book was the way Charlotte changed both Zackary and Brett's world! She taught that young boy how to be a kid and what love was even when she faced the wrath of his Mom. She didn't flinch when she looked at Brett and showed him that a person could be loved no matter how they looked. Now, Charlotte fought her attraction to Brett because he was married and she wasn't going there, but when there is love, it always finds a way. This book will make you laugh, cry and smile with the way it ends. This will not be the last book I read from this author!

Loved it
There is so much truth to the saying "Never judge a book by its cover" this love story is one big lesson in that truth. It shows that you can find the beauty in someone when you peel back the insignificantly imperfect outer shell. Well worth the read.

Light reading?
Enjoyable, though not something you cannot put down. A man who has everything, wife, son, money, castle, looks. Until his looks are taken in an horrific accident, and his wife tells their son his daddy is a monster. So he hides out in his castle, watching from the shadows, and cameras, communicating to his staff by intercom. Until the new nanny arrives. She is a force to be reckoned with, and little by little begins to rebel against the Mistress' orders, taking her son outdoors into the sunshine, teaching him the world isn't such a scary place and neither is his father. You can work out the rest by reading the book.

Sizzling hot!
Phew! I read this book in two sittings... I have 3 year old twins and had to truly keep my emotions in check cause this book made me feel... the erotic sex scenes and description had me excited it was crazy. It was a short book in the sense of length but it was just the right amount in regards to content. I loved each character except for Jillian of course.. but she got hers and man... the way it ended was just.. wow. Good read. Good storyline and fast fix when you need to read something steamy and fluid... great book and will now start reading more by this author!

Loved it!
Georgia Le Carre is an absolute wizard when it comes to creating amazing, sexy, tragic alpha males and strong, driven, hopeful women...fabulous! The first Georgia Le Carre book I ever read was the Crystal Jake series and that man spoiled me for all future book males. She is continuing this streak with The Man In The Mirror...loved this book. We met Charlotte in Nanny and the Beast, she was the best friend of April. So glad she got her own book, love her sassy style! Brett is a tortured soul, both mentally and physically and with Charlotte's help his world turns around. If you're not a Georgia Le Carre reader, become one, she won't let you down. I own all her books and wait impatiently for the next one to come out. I voluntarily read and reviewed, then purchased, an advanced copy of this book.

Very good!
This whole book intrigued me throughout! It was different. I loved every bit of it. The storyline was great and interesting. Brett hid away from the world and met Charolette through the intercom when she became his son’s Nanny. Charlotte was a kind, loyal person. Brett was mysterious and really was a strong, intelligent man. His story broke my heart. His wife was a complete manipulative witch. She had loads of issues. Charlotte was the best thing to happen to their family. I’m so glad I took a chance on this book!! Now I am going to read April’s story because the little bit she appeared in this book intrigued me.

Amazing
This is my 1st Georgia Le Carre book and I loved it. You can get very sick of these perfect on the outside but troubled in the inside MMC in books. Even the ones when they choose the curvier MFC. But this is different we have a scarred MMC on the inside and out. It's not about him trying to show her how perfect she is in his eyes but the other way around. We have in this book Charlotte trying to prove to Brett he is still beautiful with his scars and a good dad with his scars. While yes Charlotte's 'saviour complex' can get a bit repetitive; it's sort of needed because she has a very strong ethic about not breaking up marriages (even if they are already way beyond breaking). I would've loved an earlier Epilogue and the current one; just to see how Zachary accepted their relationship, the changes and any future children. I very much enjoyed the realness and openness of this book and loved all the little ways that Charlotte dealt with Zachary for him to understand things. I do also wish the first time together wasn't where it was. Great book. Going to have a look at the rest if her Catalogue to see what takes my eye.

Heartbreaking
Wow what a fantastic read. The story is very well done. Charlottes character saves a house from ruin. She is the nanny and meets a very damaged man Brett. I loved how this played out. Very emotional read.

a book you can’t put down
I liked that the story line didn’t drag on. That it was believable and although I had a feeling how it would finally end, it had a few good twists and turns.
