Ilsa 3-cup Diamante Napolitana
I received the 3-cup size Ilsa Diamante Napolitana which is reasonably well made and durable. There is the bottom container, coffee filter section and a top pourer section and a lid for that pourer section. Check all sections for black oil. I found some inside the lid which had to be cleaned.Warnings to start with: This is made from aluminium so if you use a strong smelling detergent such as washing up liquid to clean it, it will take on the smell and taste of the detergent. Use plain water and kitchen roll to clean it. Secondly all parts get very hot during use. I find turning it upside down easier with the handles at a right angle rather than aligned and I additionally wear household rubber gloves.Using 12g Lavazza Qualita Rossa coffee beans ground to medium, 235ml water and 75ml milk provides me with a nice milky breakfast mug of coffee. However getting a good personal coffee will be trial and error. But this coffee-making method really brings out the flavour of robusta in the blend so if not liked perhaps a 100% Arabica blend will be more suitable. In use some coffee dust gets into the pot so I find allowing the coffee to settle before pouring eliminates most of the dust in the cup but not all of it. Overall, for an Italian method a Moka Pot is easier to use but where the Napolitana method scores is that the quantity of coffee can be adjusted whereas in a Moka pot it can't.Lastly throw away the first two to three brews to break it in.

Smaller than expected but fits together well
I was expecting something larger: the 1-2 cups are espresso cups, (but that's on me). Max volume of water is under 200ml. A smidge overpriced for the overall size and quality of materials, but well made and all the parts fit together snugly. First cup went ok, but need to make a few to get rid of the new maker taste and get the grind right. (Banana for scale)

Italians know best!-)
Makes a surprisingly good cup of coffee. I come from an Italian family, so I've seen these used a lot, but never seen them in shops; glad Amazon was able to provide one for me. I'm definitely going to get the next size up too.

Coffee Pot
Love this. It is small and dinky but makes good coffee.

Traditional and flawed.
The Neapolitan or Cuccumella is the traditional coffee maker of Italy, with a history of use going back two hundred years. It makes a strong coffee, that is more acidic than a moka but this can be corrected by using a finer grind and a darker roast. It is easier to clean than a moka, as the smaller ones have a seal that's a pain to remove.However......what loses this coffee maker two stars is safety. As the two halves are held together by your hands during flipping, carelessness could result in an accident, with boiling water spilling on your hands. Another issue is that the front hole squirts out hot water during the flipping process, especially with larger models; this could scald anyone in front of the maker. There are some precautions that one can take to make an accident less likely. One could hold the handles firmly with a tea towel, during the flipping process, keeping the maker closed tight. One could be mindful of who or what is in front of the maker, prior to and during flipping. Finally, one could flip the maker over the sink. I do all of the above. In the end, if one purchases this product, one should do so mindful of the risks of carelessness and mishandling a flawed, traditional design.

Beate Reise Espresso Mokka

Makes great Espresso but order the bigger Pot
Not a bad little Espresso Pot. it's the kind I grew up with and enjoy the coffee it makes. My only problem I have with it is the size. I didn't realize it was that small. And it is kind of expensive for the size.

EXCELLENT COFFEE MAKER
When I saw this coffee maker on Amazon, I just had to have it. It reminded me of the one my mother always used when I was younger. When I received it, I was impressed by its high quality aluminum construction. When I used it for the first time, I was amazed by how good the coffe was. It reminded me of the espresso I used to buy at the Italian coffee shops. For anyone who likes espresso, I wholeheartedly recommend this coffeemaker. You won't regret it.
