Air Activated Switch Button with Air Hose, Sink Top White Push Button for Food Waste Garbage Disposal Part (Short, 2.5 Inch)

This normally would be a simple job to replace a defective air switch. But, in my case, I had to create a small access opening next to my jetted/ air bubbler tub in order to reach in, remove the old switch, and replace it. My ability to reach in to remove the old and to install the new was severely limited due to the angle of my hands and the reach that I had. In any case, I was glad that I got the extra-long switch (I think it is 2.5 " long -- because I could angle it a bit and then just barely screw on the retainer ring. If I had gotten the shorter version of this switch, I don't think I would have been able to get the retainer ring started onto the threaded body. (My hand was at an extreme angle to the switch, and I was working blind.) The new air switch works fine. It pops up like it is supposed to after being pressed down. My old switch was stuck in the down position and would not pop back up.

We have a bathroom jacuzzi bath tub that is built up from the floor with steps. There is an access door next to the pump. The problem is there isn’t another access door for the 3 buttons control panel. So, the air control button itself froze and the pump could not turn on. With this single button control it worked effortlessly. I did the replacement within 15 minutes. EX PZ ! I got a repair estimate for nearly $300 from a plumber. He said he wasn’t interested because he might do more damage since there isn’t a 2nd access door. Well, I’m mechanically inclined and thought if I can get an air button from Amazon, I might be able to attach 1/8” air hose myself. It arrived and within 15 minutes the repair was completed by me.

This fixed my Jetted Tub. Longer than I wanted it to be (says it's the shorter length), but I made it work.

My jetted bath tub stopped working 3 years ago. I've 4 plumbers look at it and they all said it needs a new pump, but I don't know what kind it is or where to order one. I saw this switch and thought I would try it and my tub came back to life!!! Very easy to install and now works perfect.

First off, this switch works just as it should. I bought it to replace the switch on my jacuzzi tub, not a garbage disposal. My reason for not giving it 5 stars is, the ad claims it will fit mounting hole up to 1¾ inch which is exactly the size of the hole in my tub. The outside ring on this switch measures 1.775 inches (1¾ is 1.750 inches), so when you tighten down this switch in a 1¾ inch hole it will pull through the hole. I had to make a rubber washer for each side of the tub so the switch wouldn't pull through the hole. It works, but doesn't look very appealing to the wife's eye (that's the only eye that matters lol) and a larger diameter switch would have been a lot quicker to install. The ad should say it fits existing hole up to 1⅝ inch then I could have continued looking for the switch I needed. At the end of the day, yes it works but I'm sure the wife will complain about it until I can find the correct size we need and replace this one. Hope this helps, it's taught me not to rely on ads or reviews, because undoubtedly there are a lot of folks out there that don't have a clue on how to read a measuring device lol. The pic I included shows the black rubber washer I had to make and install so the switch didn't pull through the hole.

Easy replacement on jetted tub. Re-used a tubing connector with the tubing in the kit. Old button would get stuck down. This new button pops up nicely.

Wow works perfect. As described it air switch which I needed for my jacuzzi. My old switch didn't work. This worked had to modification on my porcelain tub. Made the hole larger. It worked.
