Red Lion RJS-75SS 115/230 Volt, 3/4 HP, 12.8 GPM Stainless Steel Shallow Well Jet Pump For Wells Up To 25' Deep, Red, 97080702

This replace a previous Red Lion water pump of equal size and power. The first one I bought was not stainless and begin producing pretty rusty water. This stainless steel model is a must if you are using it for a catchment system and water supply for the home. Pump is relatively quiet and has been performing perfectly so far after 7 months of use.

Hooked up to 1" pex system. Proper setup is with 1 way valve on water feed (in). To tee for air tank. I did reduce power to 115. Very easy! Checked all connections. Turned on. Good pressure. Feed is 6000 gallons from tanks. End of water run is 75 feet. No elevation. Quiet, no vibration. Excellent support from company via phone and email.

This has been an excellent pump; easily out lasting other cast iron and plastic/ fiberglass pumps I have owned in the past. My water is extremely hard with lots of calcium, and this pump is nearing 5 years old now. I have never gotten more than 3 years out of any other brand of pump. This pump does have one problem I wish the manufacturer would correct. If you need to mount this pump next to a wall as I have done in the picture, and you need to move the pressure switch to the opposite side of the motor, it can be done but it is very difficult, requiring the motor to be disassembled and modified. It probably also voids any warranty doing this

The pump itself is really great, the supplied pressure switch is fairly poor quality. I returned the first one as it was faulty. Pressure switch did not function properly. The second one had the same issue. Had to bypass the onboard switch and use a REAL pressure switch. If I did it over again I would buy a different pump.

Pump appears to be working well, but wished the company would consider installing a pressure gauge from factory. Most stores around my area does not stock 1/8" npt pressure gauges. They stock 1/4" gauges. Really need a gauge to see performance.

I bought this for my home back in Jamaica because the water pressure is so low. Now the water pressure is like I’m in the states.

I bought this to replace my previous Red Lion pump. This is a newer model so it wasn't an exact match on the height of the plumbing. So I screwed the new pump down to a piece 5/4 deck board and it matched the height prefectly. This pump pulled a prime on the second try and has worked perfectly since. The pressure switch worked great out of the box and it quickly builds pressure when it kicks on. It's in a pump house so I don't notice/care about the noise.

After one year still running strong for our cottage water system. No issues at all.
