Turkey was done nicely

Great fit held 12lb Turkey no problem

Used for the first time this last weekend with a 13 lb turkey. Easy to use, and worked like a charm!!

The pit barrel cooker has a flat lid so it is very unlikely that the space between the grates and the lid will accommodate a turkey.. well.. enter this hanging contraption. Remove the grates and use this hanger to smoke your turkey hanging from those rods. Yum!

I use these in my Pit Barrel Cooker and they work very well. The only complaint is that I wish there was a way (latch, etc) to “lock” these closed. They do have a little sleeve of metal (you can see in the pictures) that slides down to close, but it is loose and can easily slide up when you are pulling food in and out of the smoker. We were victim of this the first time we used and ended up with a load of corn down on the coals “man down!!” Now that I know...am extra cautious. Overall solid product and happy that I purchased.

Cooked Thanksgiving turkey in the slow cooker using this hangar and it worked great. I had no concerns about the sturdiness while cooking and seems durable enough to last years. Glad I bought it.
