Cogat Practice Test (Kindergarten and Grade 1)

My son was going to tak his CogAt test, and we needed something to help him understand the process. This test fit the bill, though the typos, grammar erros, and even one test answer incorrect did make it a little annoying. Good as long as you understand it's not a perfect test. Worked well for our purposes.

I bought several books for Cogat Form 7 test prep for my kindergartener. Some parts seemed too easy, while others just the right level that a bright kindergartener(not necessarily gifted) could figure. It did not cover several types of questions like paper folding. Good resource, though. I bought it used and the book was in decent condition.

bought this book after recommendation from my child's enrichment teacher to prepare for the 1st grade cogat test. I am so glad i bought this book. not only to show my child how to answer ( a-b-c answer sheet) but also to get used to the wording of the questions, which are really not easy to understand for a 6yr. old (vocabulary: horizontal, 'boarding" a plane, counter clock wise, cardinal points, etc.). i would definitely recommend this book, even if its just to show what to expect.

found it a productive prep material but obviously once used once, not really functional after that so use judiciously. also make sure you know what actual cogat form your child is taking as the differences between forms can be significant.

Its a great workbook. The book includes multiple test sections, and the answers are in the back. I bought this book to give my daughter experience with bubble tests in preparation for her gifted testing at school. It was easy enough to follow and she enjoyed the questions. The tests include black and white pictures only. This was also an adjustment for her. Great practice!

I found out my kid was eligible to give the CoGAT exam with 10 days notice. This book helped prepare her for the type of questions she'd face. I highly recommend it.
