Exactly what I wanted!
This book has been very helpful! Rather than sorting alphabetically, it is by category. In other words, it's great as an ENGLISH to TURKISH reference! Aferin, aferin!

Automatically rendered wordlists similar to Google translate
Recently, a large number of vocabulary books by A Taranov have appeared on the market. While the idea is good, I'm afraid that the execution is poor. I became suspicious when seeing that the same person had written identical books for 30-40 different languages. The impression is that the author has compiled automatic lists for numerous languages without even speaking the languages in question. Certainly not at the level required to capture different nuances. In all of the Taranov word-lists I've seen, around 90% of the words are correct. 10% are completely wrong, which is quite close to the ration of Google translate. The pronunciation of Turkish in this book is way off, contradicting even basic principles of Turkish pronunciation.Do yourself a favour a buy a proper book written by linguists who speak the two languages that the book consists of instead of a book that appears to be automatically compiled by a computer. That will save you from the sometimes hilarious mistakes in Taranov's books.

Not what I expected...
I didn't find this to be what I wanted in terms of giving me words in context. There are many words, and that can be useful, but I didn't find the text interesting to where I would be motivated to really go through it.

Too many mistakes.
There are too many mistakes, if you don't know any turkish and you are just relying on this book, you might end up learning wrong.

Errors, but well organised.
Occasional mistakes, ranging from basic (slightly inappropriate for context) to completely wrong (eg, 'correct' given as 'sağ', meaning 'right side').Otherwise, okay. Well laid out and organised.

Excellent book for learning Turkish vocabulary in themes
This is a truly excellent book for all learners of Turkish. I am learning Turkish and I must say that I have waited a long time for a book like this to become available to help me learn Turkish vocabulary (Until now there have been no vocabulary books like this!) The book divides the vocabulary into themes so that you can prioritize the vocabulary you wish to learn most or learn in small manageable steps. This book comes in different sizes with either 3000 words, 6000 words or 9000 words. For beginners, I would highly recommend the 3000 words book since this will give you all the most important words to get you started. The 9000 words book is perfect for advanced learners. This is really an amazing and very complete vocabulary book for learning Turkish and I am so happy it has been released!
