Effective and inexpensive
I have some cone-shaped knitting needle protectors/stoppers, but so far I think these work better, as long as you select the correct size. You just have to look at the hole to determine which one to use. My test is on a circular needle with 271 stitches of a slippery yarn, and they are doing the job.

Pretty good
These are working well. The reason I gave them 4 stars is because they are not color-coded. I have to hunt and try to find two of the same size. I would have preferred all of the red to fit one size and all of the green to fix another size, etc. But they are working to keep my knitting where it belongs.

Great Concept
I love the idea of these needle stoppers. I can't tell you how many times I've used the normal cone-shaped ones only to discover they popped off the end of my needle and allowed my knitting to slip off. I like the variety of colors and there are several "hole" sizes in each color which keeps them from being stretched over time by using on different sized needles. I have not actually used these stoppers, but I believe they will work exactly as advertised. The rubber they are made from is squeezable, but firm enough to hold it's shape for a while. I look forward to using these.

They should have been color coded for size.
Pro:These stitch stoppers stay on the needles much better than the kind that go on the end of the needles.Cons:1. You would think that since they come in five sizes and five colors, each size of hole would be a different color. Wrong; instead, for some inexplicable reason, there are two of each size in each color. What is the point of five colors then?? I took a Sharpie and marked the sizes with dots, but it is still annoying.2. I am using the second largest size on. a pair of US 7 needles, and they are very tight. The largest size is not much bigger, so I doubt they will fit on needles larger than 8 or 9. This is not necessarily a flaw; just FYI.

Color coded by size—absolutely perfect
These are perfect stitch stoppers and come in multiple sizes to fit all my knitting needles. The sizes are color coded for easy identification. I love using them and they work great!
