Amazing knife
Very sharp, the handle is shaped and positioned perfectly. Love this knife so much had my sister get one too.

Love this knife! Best Christmas present!
I’ve used it twice since I got it two days ago. Love the size and weight and feel of the knife. Handle is perfect, nicely ergonomic and solid feeling. Plus it’s beautiful. Will update after I’ve used for a few months and see how it holds up.

Comfortable to hold, great edge. I use it for vegetables and beef.

Excellent quality
This works good for chopping vegetables and fruit. It’s too light to use as a meat clever.

These are very nice chef's knives
I like the handle shape and look as well as the comfort and sharpness. The unique beauty of the Damascus steel caught my attention first as well as the Dalgergia Wood. It seemed like a good purchase. As a Matter of fact, I turned around and bought the whole set shortly after I bought this knife. For now they have been great. We will see how they last.

Agile and graceful. A constant pleasure to see and use.
I love it when form and function come together at a high level, as with this collection of knives. (I also bought the paring knife and bread knife.)Though the appearance of the knife is striking, I most love wielding the knife in my hand. The rounded handle with a slightly wider belly is extremely comfortable and adaptable to many different grips. The shape and finish of the handle offer a secure grip that doesn't slide. And there are no gimmicky finger grooves or other design features to get in the way. There is no bolster (a thickening at the back corner of many western blades), which means that the back corner can pass through a cut easily, which I prefer. It also means you need to be aware that the corner of the blade could potentially cut a knuckle if you were to hold the knife improperly. This is where the slight egg shape of the handle suits the blade design: the positive grip prevents the hand from sliding up the handle, whereas in the typical western kitchen knife, the potential of the flat sided grip to allow slippage would be mitigated with design features like knurled finger grooves, a bolster that thickens and dulls the back corner of the knife, or even an outright finger guard -- all of which, to my mind, get in the way of a knife's elegant, articulated movement and adaptability. In any case, Japanese technique emphasises pulling the knife through cuts rather than pushing, and thus the design is perfectly suited. The layers of Damascus steel make the blade tough and firm for its thickness. Having used a broader and more flexible blade for years, I feel my knife now has more precision: it goes where I want it to go. The outer Damascus layers support a single central layer of steel optimized for cutting. This is one of the sharpest knives I've ever encountered straight out of the box.I haven't used the knife enough to comment on the durability of the edge. While some knives use a harder steel that may keep an edge longer, the trade-off is that the toughness is diminished and their edge may chip more easily. The pebbled face of the blade is stunning to the eye, and helps release sliced food from the side of the blade. The three knives I own in the series all have a heft without being heavy. The kitchen knife feels especially well balanced, with the balance point exactly at the end of the handle and before the blade widens -- precisely where the index finger lands naturally. (The bread knife is slightly blade-heavy, while the paring knife is balanced toward the handle end, just as you'd expect for their respective functions.)An excellent, agile knife at a very fair price. A joy to use.

Fallo con el mango
Me gusta mucho el diseño. Pero inconveniente para sujetar el mango al estar demasiado liso.
