I'm So glad this book is still around!! I learned about teaching through this book over 30 years ago and now two of my daughters need help with discipline issues in their classrooms and this book taught me everything I know in that area. It is invaluable. It will change the life and atmosphere of your classroom for the better! I have also used his techniques to raise seven children and have always had a very smooth-running, peaceful home with very few discipline issues. Buy it!!

The book gives tremendous advice for classroom management.

The book was well written, easy-to-read, not dry or boring. In fact, it sparked an enthusiasm and confidence for teaching so much that I couldn't put it down and finished it in just a couple hours, making highlights and notations all the way through it. A lot of the information is common sense, which many people seem to be lacking these days, so it's great to be reminded of, but there was also many good points that I wouldn't have thought of before.

If you teach in a rough school, just do your best and learn to teach by doing.

I have used this when mentoring new teachers to help them with classroom management. The ideas and hints are clearly written and can be implemented into busy classrooms without putting too much pressure on the teacher. I would recommend this book to anyone who needs help to train their class to be 'students'.

This is perfect. Absolutely immaculate. A note disclaimer came with it as it is a second hand book. There is not a single mark in it. The packaging wasn’t wasteful or over sized. I could not be happier with this purchase. Also from a student teacher perspective, this book is super useful and give fantastic advice dealing with teenage students. Highly recommended.
