My belt is 1.5" width. It works fine in most jeans and sports pants. A few dress pants may be a little small to get the belt end through.

Q: What material is the loop and belt end? Leather or plastic?

All leather but the buckle. Stitching is neatly tied off at ends, but can not see the "loop" as it too is under the leather to fix buckle in place. Buckle is heavy weight and attractive.. I have been VERY please with the 2 I bought... a black and brown. I had gotten a tan/pale green one a few years ago at local store, but they did NOT have any others. I was very happy to find this supplier.

Q: what's the difference between black and black2?

The Black2 has a different belt buckle. It was explained somewhere on the page. It is thinner or lighter in weight and perhaps more suitable for a female. I ordered it for myself but also gave a Black2 to my very masculine biker boyfriend, and he liked it, too.

i would get the 45,it stretches but not ridiculously
