It's more or less a weed eater motor with a prop on it.It worked great on our 12 foot John boat. It's pretty loud since it is a basic 2 cycle motor. The shear pin easily breaks but is an easy fix.It's good for the price if you need a quick and easy solution.

Go this little motor for probably the same reason everyone else is looking at it the price point. And for the price it is awesome! Sure for the first cold start of the day it can be a hassle. So I start it before I leave the house and get it warmed up. From there on first pull and it starts! I fit it to my kayak to go where ever I need, I can go up river at 6mph and I got right at 3miles per full tank of gas. It has plenty of power for the size. I even tire my wife’s kayak to mine and pushed my wife and me around 5mph. Well worth the purchase. I’ve read reviews where other people had minor issues, but I have not had one issues besides first cold start is a pain at times.

This little 2 stroke engine works great. It is well built and, although noisy, runs fine. Mine is mounted on a 9 ft personal pontoon/kick boat and easily powers the pontoon at a good speed. It needs a design feature where the propeller shaft tilts up when encountering a submerged stump. Good motor at a reasonable price.

This is a horribly made motor, the parts are extremely cheap. Second day that I used it I pulled the chord to start it "gently" and the internal parts for the starter broke. Just like that, it was game over.

I would have given it a better rating but I'm still waiting to get my warranty card after over a month. Other then that the engine is what you would expect for the price. It pushes our 8 and half foot Sun dolphin around the lagoon pretty nicely. It does leak if you tilt the motor too far and it is loud but again, for the price it's decent.

I like the engine, and thank you for scheduling the anti-rust screws to be sent to me. I’m having difficulty with the engine seven off switch. Removing the red cap from the shut off button doesn’t work; I have to disconnect the spark plug. Can you tell me how to fix this?Thank youMark

Husband says it's awesome for his 12ft jon boat. Easy to install. Only down side is no reverse. He said he got the front of the job boat out of the water. Very loud. Similar to weed eater but as to be expected.
