this item comes with European sockets and as such is completely useless to anyone in the UK
Be warned, this item comes with European sockets and as such is completely useless to anyone in the UK! I also ordered a fully loaded (50 metre cable) unit and this was delivered with the correct UK spec socket outlets so I am at a complete loss as to why they sent me the empty reel version with the wrong sockets!

It was not clear from the description that the sockets were not for a normal extension lead. Fortunately my husband was able to adapt it but it would have been cheaper to buy a new extension lead than just replace the drum.
