Team CatfishSI12 Sudden Impact Bait Jar, 12-Ounce

I spent the last week anxiously awaiting my order of "Sudden Impact" for a cat fishing tournament that was held last weekend. To my delight my packaged arrived just in time and I brought it along to reel in some big ones. I arrived at the pond, which is stocked with blues, flat heads, and channel cats, with my secret weapon "Sudden Impact". My buddy brought along his fresh jar of Secret 7, also purchased from Team Catfish. The anticipation was killing us, thoughts of reeling in one giant cat after another as other people wondered what that concoction was that we were using was running through our minds. Finally the man said "start fishing" and we started baiting up. It turned out that the Sudden Impact didn't go on, or stay on the hook as easily as your videos showed. I thought that maybe I got a bad batch. Then I watched as the sloppy Secret 7 fell off the hook right back in the bucket as my friend pulled his line out (as shown on the videos). When we finally got some to stick to the dip tubes we tossed in the lines. We watched as other people pulled in 17lbs, 21lbs, 25lbs, etc. Fish after fish were being caught all around us. We decided switch to live bait (which is what everyone else was using). We smeared a little bit of Secret 7 and Sudden Impact on our live bait. This was like a repellent, not even a bite. It wasn't until we washed our hands of your products and went back to chicken livers and live bait that we even caught a single fish. I'm very unimpressed with this product. It is very misleading and very overpriced. It does not stick to the hook like the videos show, and it does nothing to attract fish. This was in a STOCKED POND. Other people were slaying them all around us. This was the biggest disappointment on any purchase I've ever made. This stuff is just like any other "as seen on tv" product, we might as well have came to the pond with a tackle box full of the "banjo minnow". Save your money people.We even tried emailing the company for suggestions with no response. I commented on one of their amazing YouTube videos and within a very short time my comment was deleted and my account was blocked.They are very proud of this stuff, yet they don't respond to criticism. I rarely take the time to even write a review, in fact this is my first one ever. However I was so disappointed by the results with these products, and then most of all the lack of response from the company, that I feel others should know the truth before purchasing this stuff.Hopefully this will save a lot of people time and money.Thanks

This is not a punch bait. It works excellent with a bait sock. Does not work with a plain hook. I did catch fish with it in a canal.

So after watching many youtube videos, I have decided to buy the product. I will have to say that I am impressed with the product. I typically go fishing where alot of bites don't happen. However I did receive bites just about every time the product was out in the water. Granted it may be one or two bites, then they would stop and have to check to see if the bait was still on, most of the case I had to re-bait. however the product does work. You do get massive hits, but you have to ready to set the hook after the first bite. The bait does disappears quickly. I will probably start using the bait in type of enclosure (pantie hose). But I plan on hitting some other lakes around Oklahoma and seeing if I can hook up with larger fish.The ONLY think I would have to say negatively, is the bait needs to say around longer. But don't this review stop you from buying. It's a very good product.

Sudden impact is all I use in the Colorado River and canal it out fishes traditional baits I used to catch catfish. I'm very happy with its results.

I just bought this for the third time for me. I catch more catfish with this than any other bait I've used. I do lake fishing, so I have no idea how it does in a river. I was doing so well that I bought some for my dad, and he caught so many catfish that he bought it himself afterwards.The one negative is that it doesn't stick to the hook by itself very well. I keep a rubber glove in my tackle box so I can squeeze it on and not get it on my hand. It is stinky, but I don't consider that a negative with catfish.If you want to catch catfish, this is the bait to get.

I've recently been introduced to Team Catfish products and I'm a big fan now. First I bought the Secret 7 dip bait but had trouble with it staying on the hook immediately after casting. So then I came across this product, the Sudden Impact dip bait. The Sudden Impact has fibers in it, which help it stay on the hook longer. Plus this product comes with some treble hooks! I did catch a few small catfish with Sudden Impact so far. Also you've been warned, this stuff really stinks! Try your best not to get it on your hands because it's very hard to get the smell off once you touch it.

It works even though I didn't catch anything on when I went fishing the other night. But I was using it in a river which makes it harder to use but I did lose a monster catfish when using this on some cut chicken breasts. The catfish that lost was the biggest catfish I ever hooked into. Just take the chicken breast and put some this on it and let it sit for a day or two to let the smell get into the chicken and you're ready to go. But it will work better in lakes where the water is not going so fast because I have used this before at lakes and got myself some nice size catfish.

I've used this bait a lot and I've been very successful with it at times. If you get it in front of channel cats and they're hungry, you will get bites. However, I've also bought bad batches of Sudden Impact that simply *won't* stay on the hook. Maddenly frustrating and a huge waste of valuable fishing time. It seems to happen by the jar/bucket - the entire container's bait will give me problems, or it won't. I think sometimes it's not mixed well in production you'll get a jar/bucket without enough fiber to hold it together on your hook. I've been able to improve matters by mixing in shredded cotton balls to add some fiber, but that's a smelly, messy hassle and you shouldn't have to when you're paying for the bait to be ready to go. I had an entire 1 gallon bucket I had to do that with. Anyway, for that reason I can't really recommend Sudden Impact, although as I say, when it works, it really works. If you're really tied to using Team Catfish products, then I suggest buying Secret Seven, which has the same fish attractants, and using a sponge hook instead.
