The Tao of Pooh: The self-help guide inspired by the philosophy from the classic children’s series

I am enjoying reading this book. Positivity is the clue; if you like Pooh! Bought it from the Warehouse at a reduced price. Good enough to read. The leaves are a bit thin but not complaining.

It would be easy to dismiss this book by its cover as a ‘child’s read’ and leave it on the shelf. That would be a shame, for this charming book portrays the principles of Taoism through the story of Winnie the Pooh - and the other characters - in such a way that it makes the reader stop… and think about life. Pooh lives in the ‘now’ without concern for things past or future; life just ‘Is’. Benjamin Hoff shows, through the adventures of Pooh and his companions, that a happier, more contented life is not such a distant or unachievable concept; it is just a question of changing the way we look at things."While Eeyore frets... and Piglet hesitates... and Rabbit calculates... and Owl pontificates... Pooh just is.”This book has a serious message for mankind and Pooh and his friends make this an amusing and enlightening read. What is more … it might just change your life.

The idea is genius, the writing style is genius, and that lovable yellow bear... is a genius too ;)We HUGELY overcomplicate things in life, looking down on 'the simple' because we deem ourselves to be 'too busy/intelligent/important'.However, it is impossible for us little humans to ever entirely understand the Universe, time and the way of life, so why not take on the Way of Pooh instead? It seems to work for him! :PI couldn't help a constant smile lightning my face whenever I read this book this book, and I challenge anyone not to do the same! Please stop angrily racing around office floors late into the night, fuelled by crazy caffeine - read it! (I also say this considering I feel ashamed that a thoughtlessly placed lamp burnt a hole in my old Pooh Bear teddy's back many Christmas' ago, because I was too consumed with greedily opening my new toys rather to care for his wellbeing... Therefore this is my way of saying sorry - please forgive me Pooh! :P)

This book is charming and funny and gives an insight into a way of thinking and an enjoyable read go on give it a go

I came across this wonderful book many years ago because I am interested in the Tao and I have always loved Winnie the Pooh.So the combination of the two should be great and it was and it is. It may be not the deepest and most profound way of describing the Tao, which can't be described anyway, but somehow I have always been inspired by it. For me it is the high point of Benjamin Hoff's work, because the companion volume, the Teh of Piglet, seems to pale in comparison and has never felt as inspiring. A side observation: it seems that the first example of a writer's or artist's oeuvre that I encounter always gets a special place in my heart, even if it is objectively ( insofar as that is possible) not the best.

I don't know why, but you feel better for reading it. The way of least resistance?

Was not what I expect but great comical read, liked it , something different... Definitely worth a read! However I reckon I paid a lot for this (over ten pounds... U can get it cheaper!) also I didn't get the cover that was on the picture, I paid over ten pounds because I thought I was getting this edition... Bummer !

Winnie the Pooh is actually a Taoist monk you see. It's as if he's good friends with the Dalai Lama, actually. I ❤ 😍 the Dalai Lama. Full of Buddhist compassion. Just like winnie.

Great Read

Ich liebe "The Tao of Pooh" seit vielen Jahren und werde diese hübsche Ausgabe zu Weihnachten verschenken.

Either I didn’t really understand or this seemed like a kids book.I could fish out some philosophical concepts but overall I’m a little short on the understanding.

Ya lo he leído mas de 3 veces y no dejo de asombrarme con su genial sencillez.Yo siendo una persona con muchos problemas de comunicación y que creí que no encajaba en ningún lugar, me ha ayudado a tener otra perspectiva de las cosas, ahora me es mas muy fácil "SER" y lograr mis metas, altamente recomendable.
