Just words, no sentences
I thought this would include example sentences, like the Routledge series of frequency dictionaries. Instead, it's just a big list of words. I'm pretty sure you could find this for free on the Internet.

Good dictionary
Good for beginning to learn Italian vocabulary. I would only recommend you buy the first 1-2500 word edition though, after the 2500 words just move on to a regular dictionary. However, this is still a good product that does what you’d expect it to.

Poorly-vetted attempt at a frequency list
UPDATE: I originally was disappointed with this purchase (see below), but after using it some more it's grown on me. The frequency list isn't perfect, and definitely contains some words that are ranked out of place, but it has generally been very useful in helping me to identify the words that I most need to know in Italian. If this product were priced a bit cheaper and better-vetted, it'd be five stars.I was excited at the concept of getting a frequency dictionary 10,000 words deep (with 100 extra words included), but I actually was pretty disappointed when I saw what this product really was. The key problem is that the vocab list is not well-vetted. It appears that someone just wrote an algorithm to analyze a number of articles in Italian and identify the most-used words, then printed the list without any sanity-check to verify the usefulness of the printed words. For example, the word "bobsleigh" is word 690 in the book, but the word "beach" is word 10071. Seriously, nobody can say with a straight face that they use the word "bobsleigh" more than the word "beach" that example alone destroys all credibility of the book for me... and there's the fact that it cost $40. There are better books available for $10.
