Wonderful in every aspect.
Sarah Garland is a wonderful storyteller and illustrator. Her work is a joy filled with humor and compassion. All three of my children have grown up with the books.

Beautiful, succinct and educational
My 4 1/2 year old loves this book. It very basically tells the steps for planting a garden, from buying seeds and earth, to planting and weeding, and finally to eating what you grew. It has wonderfully set the stage planting our own garden.

Gift for my Niece and Nephew - they loved it!
I bought this book as a gift for my Niece (2) and Nephew (4.5). Their Mom (my sis-in-law) told me they loved it and asked me how I find such great books! I told her that I use the "Look Inside" feature that amazon offers, so I can preview some of the book, as well as read reviews and compare to other books here on amazon. I sent them this book along with a toy gardening set - the perfect combination!

Daughter's favorite book
We first found this book at the library, it became my 3 year old daughters favorite book. She is so excited for the Spring to come so we can plant a small garden!

fun gardening story for children
Sarah Garland is a great author of children's books in the UK, and this is a great book for children. It tells the story of a young boy Eddie planting a garden with his mum and little sister Lily. My two year old son loves this book, and has been inspired to push his wheelbarrow around our garden, dig lots of holes in the dirt, plant seeds and water. This book is good for 2 year olds and older children. The illustrations are loving and wonderful.

Eddie's Garden
This was the type of book that kept the kid's interest. Used it in a summer session for 15 K-2 graders. They acted out the story. One was a pumpkin etc... Another great read!

So lovely
Such a lovely book about a little boy, his mum and baby sister enjoying their back garden and growing fruit and veg. Contains lots of practical information on growing from seed in a format that small children can readly understand. Highly recommended. My 4 year old loves this story, especially the part where the baby sister is curious about earhworms and is about to eat one when Eddie shouts "Not worms, Lily!". Full of simple, touching detail.

A must have for very young gardeners
An absolutely brilliant book for small children and even adults who don’t know much about gardening! Whilst a story book it keeps to correct facts. Just the job for my budding gardener, six year old, grandson!

Inspiring children’s book!
Really lovely book that my 3 year old loved. Inspired us all to start growing plants and really helped my little one understand the process. Beautifully illustrated too! Would recommend!

Great fun as well as educational
Bought for a six-year-old boy called Eddie, whose family now have an allotment, as well as their garden in which he grew his own plants, so it's very appropriate. His twin sister and younger brother also enjoy this book, which I have renewed many times from the public library. They particularly laugh at the younger sister's antics (almost eating worms, etc).
