The Detecto model 438 explicitly includes height rod and wheels, they were not included when my order arrived.

Easy Set Up/Easy Calibrate/Accurate
Bought this so that I could daily weigh myself while dieting. Daily weighing, in my opinion, is very important. And accurate weighing results are equally important to keep one on track. After assembling the well-packed components and calibrating according to directions, I found that these scales were within a 1/2 pound of those used by my WW group and my doctor's office. Can't get better than that. Consistent weighing results every time I step on these scales.Purchased through Amazon and delievery was actually a day or so earlier than I expected.

Should be improved
My complain is: if one is taller than three (3) feet, one does not have an easy time in figuring his/her size. Rising the sliding "stick" does no longer correspond to a continuation, but it is discontinue in its sequence. Let's say, reading the centimeters which are much easier to read than the inches, being normally 5'4" (153+) raising the "stick" should - as I said - read 154 cm; instead it is reading 160 cm which should really read 104 cm that is now situated at the very top. The scale is expensive enough so to be honest I am not happy with it. Besides, coming directly from the factory, the weight should also be perfect, and the arrow be on a straight line; there also it is off by a whole pound, the arrow hitting the top, rather than being in the middle in perfect balance.

After having it a month
It was easy to put together. The instructions were really good. It came in four pieces, base, upright scale, wheel bracket, and black height indicator. To zero the scale there is a small screw on left. It has indicators for every quarter pound and is that accurate.It was purchased for a home to replace all the scales that were a little off. This is the last bathroom scale that I will ever need to buy.

Just what I needed.
I ordered this type of scale because my eyesight makes it difficult to impossible to read a normal floor type scale. Delivery was quick and all went well.

detecto scale a hit with us
My husband has wanted an accurate scale for our home and has been very please with the Detecto 438 scale. It was easy to assemble and he has no regret in our purchase.
