I really didn’t seriously consider using mousse in my hair until I went to a Dominican barbershop. It wasn’t this product he used in my hair when I got it cut, but I figured I would search for something like it. After reading countless reviews, and considering Paul Mitchell’s excellent reputation for hair products, I gave this a shot. I was first surprised as to how thick this comes out (think whip cream out of a spray can). I love the smell - reminds me of hotel lobbies that use scent diffusers to set the relaxing atmosphere when you travel or are on vacation. It really moisturizes and conditions, and trust me, you only need a small dollop to do the job. I have shorter hair, that’s wavy/tight curly - I may be a 4a but not sure as far as hair chart. But I do have “good” hair - ya’ll know what that means. My hair is tight faded on the sides (skin fade) with maybe a 1.5 or 2 on top. My hair shines and stays in place through the day. Since this is lasting me a long time and appears concentrated, I say the value is on point. The can is easy to use, just use it like spray whip cream, place a small amount in the palm of your hands. This works better when your hair is slightly damp - but not soaking wet. Just know that it’s not as moisturizing as castor oil or a pomade, but it’s mousse, so, you already know. I purchased the shampoo and conditioner from this line - so I can feel like I’m on holiday all the time! And yes, it’s very luxurious and who cares about the price, if you can afford it - go for it!

The hydrocream whip is an excellent product. I have fine curly hair which tends to frizz. Hydrocream Whip controls the frizz control, holds my curls and yet soft to the touch. It has a light soft pleasant smell. Overall a great product. I’ve purchased this item more than once.

This is the best!!! My old product was discontinued and I tried this brand after some research of what was most comparable. It’s very lightweight and doesn’t leave any crunchy feeling which is important to me. Works super well with my curls! I bought like my 6th or 7th new bottle by now.

Smells amazing. I purchased it for more of a holding cream, doesn’t really do that but I use it anyway.

The Holy Grail of haircare! I admit I was skeptical when my stylist mentioned she’d be putting a Paul Mitchell mousse in my hair. I was thinking, “what is this, the 80s?!” But, it transformed my hair immediately! I went home and ordered my own. My hair is softer and shinier than ever. I was using Olaplex up until now, which was fine; this is just BETTER!

I waited three weeks and used this product before writing this review. I have natural frizzy waves, not quite straight and not quite curly and let me tell you that I have tried over 50 products in the past ten years, all the way from oils that make my scalp very oily after a day to mousses, creams, sprays. I am sticking to this one! It doesn't make the hair crunchy, it makes the waves manageable and pretty without adding weight or feeling dry or oily. Also, after sleeping on it, you just need to damp your hair with your palm and you get the beautiful soft waves back! Give it a try, you won't regret!
