Review: Good for hiking, not for airplanes - I researched and researched backpacks, including buying an Osprey from REI and returning it. I was looking for something that: 1. Had side water bottle pockets that were deep enough so the water bottles would not fall out. 2. Would fit under a coach airplane seat. Sadly, this backpack is too long to fit underneath the seat in front of me. I had to use it on a five day trip, otherwise I would return it. It's also rather heavy to wear, despite the support in the waist. I was looking for something that I could use as both a travel bag, and something to wear while out touring. I would say this would make a great hiking backpack, which I guess is what it's designed for, but it doesn't work well as a travel backpack.
