I was helping my father look for a tonneau cover for his 2017 Ford F-150 and after checking out a website that sells all of the name brand options, decided to look on Amazon. We found this cover and it had similar specs to the Gator Tailback tonneau ($840) that we had picked out. The Gator has a slightly higher weight rating. With the DNA Motoring (they need a better name) at almost half the price we were skeptical at first but we bought it anyway. When it arrived the first thing we noticed was its weight. It has heft but not so much that its unmanageable. That heft translated into a very solid/sturdy construction. It installs very easily with no extra side rails. It clamps down really well and is very secure. It looks great and fits perfectly on the truck. The first thing we did was took it to a car wash to test how well it keeps water out. After we opened the tailgate we were surprised to see only a few drops had made it through! The car wash we went through is really good and sprays as ton of water in every direction. Oh and my father actually stood on the cover like they did in the picture and it handled his weight no problem (I still don't recommend doing it though). Overall we are very happy that we took a chance with this cover and it paid off. If you are on the fence and are nervous to try this cover, don't be. It's a great cover at an incredible price. I really liked the quick delivery. The delivery MAN (from amazon) destroyed the first shipment which was more than likely because there was a grumpy lady who was yelling at him and demanding he lift this heavy box on his home-which I witnessed-which reminds me, I will make a complaint pertaining to her on his behalf (she was belittling). The product is a great fit for the size requested, easy to install and doesn't leak as long as you have the correct fit and correct installation. There were extra parts in the box when we received our new, undamaged package which quickly reached us upon the UPS driver picking up the damaged package. I highly recommend this product. It is also easy to use, fold back to open the bed and fold closed to seal the bed. We have had rain and snow, damaging weather, etc, and the cove still remains to look new-not to mention the truck gets washed in a car wash every day! No leaks for the working man to haul all of his valuable items. The cover also fits tightly on the tailgate which allows us to store things overnight without worrying if a thief will find a way into the bed of the truck-if he found a way-he would be working all night at it only to discover that you cannot remove it without getting inside the bed of the truck via key first!

I purchased the Tri-fold Hard cover for my Ford f-150. It was well packaged and looked fine upon delivery. It is extremely heavy and looks to be well built. The hard surface top has a durable fiberglass surface and was a welcomed improvement over my previous soft, tri-fold top. Unfortunately, after a month under the hot Georgia sun, one of the three hard top panels began to delaminate—forming a large “bubble” approximately 12 inches by 12 inches. Within another week a second panel began to show the same delamination. You can press down on the “bubble” and feel about ¼” gap or air space between the fiberglass panel and whatever surface it was supposed to be glued to. I am attaching a picture to show you the damage that I am experiencing. This clearly is a manufacturer’s defect and will only get worse with time and lead to water leaks. It is also very unsightly. I can’t believe I paid nearly $500 for this piece of junk! I immediately contacted DNA Motoring about the delamination and sent them pictures. I asked how we can get this problem rectified. Instead of taking responsibility for a defective product, they said since the item was “fulfilled by Amazon” rather than by direct sale from their own website, I should contact Amazon for a resolution. Wow, talk about trying to shift the blame to someone else—these guys clearly do not stand behind their product. This situation underscores one of the common problems with products made in China. The item can look good and show signs of thoughtful design—but underneath they often take shortcuts with major things you can’t see. In this case cheap glue that doesn’t hold the panels together. If these panels can’t tolerate the heat from Southern sunlight, how will they fare in a cold temperature region when the panels contract and expand? If the manufacturer won't stand behind their product, you will be the loser. I don’t recommend this ITEM or this SELLER. Find a better cover for your truck bed--you will regret purchasing this item.

I have never had a tonneau cover before, so I don't have anything to compare this to. I purchased the hard folding version. I am delighted with this cover. It seems to be well made using good materials. The installation was very simple and took about 10 minutes. There is an installation video on this page. (When you're looking for the silver wingnuts used on the two stationary screw-down points nearest the cab, they're in the bag marked "spare-parts") I've had it for two weeks now. During that time, it has rained at least twice. Although I didn't inspect it very closely after the first rain, I did give a quick glance and remembered being impressed that there was no sign of water intrusion. Just today, it has been raining most of the morning. During a pause, I was curious, so I went out to look in my bed, which was completely empty, so I got a really good look. After a lot of rain, which has just fallen, there was the slightest bit of water on the floor, hardly any at all. I thought to myself "wow, that's pretty good." I would recommend this to anyone else in the market. I think you'll be happy.

Great fit and finished, nice and solid. Would have given five stars, but the instructions sent sounded like they were written by someone with English as their second language. Aside from that, nice product and it even came with some spare parts. Hopefully will never need to use them. Can verify it fit my 1995 F150 XLT extended cab with 6.5/6.7 foot bed.

We ordered one and the Amazon delivery people didn’t deliver it because they determined that it had been damaged in transit. I really appreciate that they made that decision because it saved a lot of work sending it back and reordering. Since they didn’t deliver the damaged one, I had a chance to review similar products once more and found that this was by far the best choice. Even though there was a wait for it to be delivered again I figured it was well worth the wait. It was. My son helped me install it on our truck, actually he did all the heavy lifting but saved a few clamps for me. We were able to get it installed in about 20 minutes. It sealed tight to the truck bed walls and is easy to fold back and secure it for travel.

I hemmed and hawed about buying a cover for my truck. I bought a few options locally on craigslist but none of them really worked. But I kept seeing these, and couldn't get them out of my head. It is lightweight and easy to install. I don't know if I'd try standing on it like the advertisement but it is very sturdy and good looking. Just don't install it too close to your back window as the clips are hard to release when folded up. I will have one of these tops for every truck I own moving forward.

Fit my Ford F-150 perfectly. Very happy, I can now use my bed for storage and keep things in there dry. It's easy to remove when I need the height. Good quality, though it may need to be cleaned and repainted every few years.
