Miracle product
I never write reviews but had to share how awesome this balm is! I’ve been on accutane for several months now and my lips got absolutely wrecked—they were so dried out, cracked, and constantly peeling and raw…it was incredibly uncomfortable and embarrassing. I tried every chapstick under the sun with zero relief. Then my derm recommended this and gave me some samples. Literally after the first application my lips were back to normal! It truly felt like a miracle. 100% would recommend if you have dry lips and nothing else has worked. Also, other people have commented about the smell/taste of it but I didn’t notice a taste at all, and I’m sensitive to it on other lip balms (like the Sun Bum ones make me sick). Thanks for the amazing product!

AMAZING DEFINITELY BUY THIS ITS A LIFE SAVER !!!
genuinely a life saver oh my GOD. for over a MONTH i had this red, burning skin under my lip. i used aquaphor the entire time, applying and applying and applying, morning noon and night. it only got worse. at some point i started having a reaction to the aquaphor and the once just red burny skin turned to genuine like, wounds? where they would crisp and bleed and be hard. I could not OPEN MY MOUTH in any way that would stretch the skin. And so, out of desperation after seeing a reddit post mentioning the main ingredient in this, I decided to go for it. and it CHANGED MY LIFE. there was an IMMEDIATE difference, skin went from red to pink overnight. My doctor told me to just "apply aquaphor more often" even though it burned like hell, which i ignored and instead went for this. greatest decision ever. its now been about 2 weeks and its completely healed aside from a tiny spot on the corner of my mouth, but its not visible at all and will probably only take about a day or two to finish healing. god bless the people who made this my life has been CHANGED.*oh and i should also mention, for anyone who hates when you can taste chapstick: it does have a taste, but you cant taste it until its in your throat, if that makes sense. try not to lick it and you should be fine, and if you do all you really need to do is drink some water and itll go away.

It's the balm, baby😄
I used petroleum jelly (Vaseline, Equate) for many years, but when I turned 50 my lips began to crack and peel/flake. I drank more water and took skin-hair-nail vitamins, which worked a little. I loved minty Carmex, Blistex, Burt's Bees, etc., but Carmex made my lips worse. My allergist recommended an exfoliant (looks like ChapStick) and Aquaphor, but they didn't help much. Then I read online that some dermatologists liked Cortibalm for severely chapped lips and bought it. I applied it 2-4 times, and ***IT WORKED***. You can try a dab of Cortisone 10 (1% hydrocortisone + petroleum jelly) if you don't like the waxy texture (from beeswax, of course) or the price. Or apply Cortibalm with your finger to melt it.My guess was that eczema-prone skin made me more sensitive to flavors, menthol, salicylic acid, lanolin, sunscreen, camphor...I wasn't sure which, because lipstick and lip gloss don't irritate. It's too bad, because I liked the taste, scent, $ and "feel" of the popular brands; and thought "medicated" = healing. Wrong.Dear dry lips people -- unless hydrocortisone, beeswax or petrolatum irritates your skin -- #GetThis

Buy this product now!
I can't stress this enough but this is the absolute best product to use. It last a long time with no scents, burning, odd ingredients. I couldn't find anything after trying lots of different chopsticks to help my lips. I just kept getting this slight reddish/puffy irritation on my lips which made them dry and peeling and cracking. This was literally the last ditch product to use before going to the doctor after 3 weeks of pain and by day 2 it was almost gone and now day 5 it's completely gone and back to normal.

Consider the price before buying
Not as effective as the Amazon reviews say, and so may disappoint given the price.

Best product for dry lips!
Found this product mentioned on Reddit and so glad I decided to order it. The person said it’s the best thing for severely dry lips. I’m on accutane and it completely dries the heck out of my skin and lips to the point that my lips are sore. Nothing else worked. I used aquaphor, Vaseline, all kind of chapsticks and overnight lip masks. This was the holy grail of it all. I lost the one I bought last week and had to immediately come back and purchase it again because my lips started to become sore again. Super happy I found out about this product! It’s great

Works fast!
So grateful I found this product!! I carelessly spent time in the Hawaiian sun without proper lip protection (turns out gloss is not protective!) what a rookie move! I destroyed my poor lips! Nothing was helping after a week of so much pain, swelling, blistering. Almost went to the Dr. but gave this a try and how amazing it is! Healing started on day one! No after taste or weird smell. It just works and it will be my go to healing balm, although I don't plan to burn my lips like that again. The pics below show before on left, 2 days ago, and after on the right, today! I'm thinking just a few more days and they're healed! Yay!

This stuff's worth $8?
So, this lip balm is perfectly fine. If it was half the price, I'd give it 4 stars. Because I paid $8.00, before tax, I deducted a star. I bought this after seeing it recommended on WireCutter. It's pretty good, glides on better than some "bargain" brands, but I wouldn't necessarily rate it above Northridge Oak's Lemon flavored Shea Butter lip balm, which is only $3 per stick. It may be slightly thicker. I have to apply both fairly often to my chronically chapped lips. If you can afford $8 for lip balm, you probably won't be disappointed, but, if you struggle financially, as I do, you aren't gaining much by paying more.
