Zen Chi Organic Cotton Pillow Case, Standard Personal Size 14"x20", 2 Pack

A few years ago I purchased a Japanese buckwheat pillow for extra support and comfort for my neck. I use it every night. When I originally purchased the pillow, it came with a rather rough cotton pillowcase which I have used since then. But I happened upon this wonderful pillowcase, recently, ordered one and liked it so much that I ordered another. It's hard finding pillowcases for these small-sized special pillows, but this one is perfect and made of the softest, cool material that it's a pleasure to use. Thank you.

I love these pillowcases. They are a perfect fit, very soft, and very comfortable. I've had several pillowcases that don't fit well and fall apart. I found these to be well worth the purchase.

The pillow is full, that is contrasted with a low level of fill. So I have to manipulate a little to make it work to fit me when I sleep on my stomach. Not a criticism.

These pillow cases are perfect. The fabric is smooth, silky, and soft to the touch. They are also made very well and they fit my new sobakawa pillows perfectly. I especially like the inside flap at the opening which tucks around the pillow so it can't slide out of the pillowcase. The seams are uniform and overcast with no loose threads or sloppy stitching. As a seamstress I really appreciate fine workmanship. I have used buckwheat pillows for about fifteen years now and won't use anything else. I take one with me when I travel.

This product had mixed reviews, so I was a little worried as to how it would work out. Especially since I did not intend it for a regular buckwheat pillow. I use the Sobakawa small size pillow (shaped like a crescent) and it needed a new pillowcase. But hurray! it did fit and the flap keeps it inside all night in spite of my tossing and turning. The price is high what with S & H, but I have to say it was worth it, since the only alternative was to purchase yet another Sobakawa pillow ... and I seem to remember the case that comes with it is synthetic, not cotton. I haven't washed the case yet but will do it with care in a lingerie bag and will air dry, just in case some of the other reviews are right as to performance after washing.

The design keeps a pillow securely inside and makes either side look and feel good as top or bottom. I mash fold and twist my pillows all night and never have an issue. Comfort is solidly above average for a cotton pillowcase, but not outstanding. A good value for the price point.

I saw that it said frequently returned item, therefore I was slightly hesitant ordering . I risked it because I needed a cover for my standard size Buckweat pillow. It's 100% cotton and soft. It's not a regular standard size, it's Japanese standard "Buckweat pillow" size.

I bought this for a 14" x 20" buckwheat hull pillow; it was recommended, as in "people who bought this pillow, also bought these items". I also bought the recommended quilted pillow cover, which is fine. The pillow case, however, is not. It's much too small, and very hard to get on the pillow. When it's in place it barely covers the pillow, and constricts it in such a way that it keeps the buckwheat from moving / adjusting. The Amazon ad says 16"x 20", but the label with the pillow says 14" x 20". When I checked my order online just now, it took me to a page for the 16" x 20" pillow, but the Amazon page shows it as indefinitely unavailable due to unspecified issues. Unfortunately I didn't see that 2" discrepancy in what I ordered and what I got until after I'd torn the label on the packaging, making it non-returnable. The ad also says that it's "100% 400 thread count", which I naively took to mean 100% cotton 400 thread count. It feels like 100 % polyester--not at all like cotton. And it is not very well made in terms of things like the hem. Overall, a waste of money. They misrepresented what size would work, and don't have the correct size available. I do not recommend this for a 14" x 20" buckwheat hull pillow, despite Amazon's claim--UNLESS you can get the larger size, which they now show as unavailable.
