Student Bassoon Reed ARUNVAL Soft

I previously played bassoon, but had a break for three years (to study - regretfully not having enough time left over to dedicate to the bassoon). Starting over, my strongest memory was previously struggling to get the Reed right - too hard, buying quite a few that didn’t work for me, not having the know-how to trim and adjust the Reed - so I wanted to buy a recommended student Reed - not expensive but not super-cheap - so I tried this one. Immediately I love it, and I’ve ordered another. It’s soft but not soggy, and I haven’t needed to adjust it. I expect if you are a fabulous professional it wouldn’t be right for you, but for a student, or a returning player it works well and gives that confidence that you need when you’re building on your skills. I’m very happy with it.

I have been struggling to find a suitable source of bassoon reeds at a reasonable price which produce a good tone easily for me as a beginner if ageing bassoonist. These are the only ones that are uterly reliable and suit my needs perfectly.
