Great value
You can’t go wrong for the money. Okay, so there’s quite a lot of plastic to this and I don’t think you could take it out on hundreds of field trips or throw it around but if you are looking for an inexpensive but usable desk/ home/ macro tripod this is the cats pyjamas. At this price if it only lasts you for a few years it’s still a bargain.

Excellent
Perfect for my needs.......lightweight but sturdy, takes my Canon 70D , however I mainly got it for my smaller mirrorless cameras and its perfect for that, fantastic for timelapse and its small size is great for attatching to my bag on hikes, great for beginners too.

quite a solid mini tripod for the price.
I half expected a cheap and tatty mini tripod with plastic and wobbly movements. This tripod is pretty sturdy and solid. It can hold my Canon M5 mirror camera and 70-300mm lens (photo) nicely. There is very little wobble and even with such a large and heavy camera setup the up-down and left-right settings are smooth and sit nicely where you placed them. I noticed no creep as I tightened the tripod direction knobs up. This is better than my full sized Velbon tripod. The tripod is metal legged with everything else black plastic. It comes in a carry bag. It has three extendable legs with a further extension of the tripod head too. For out and about work this happily lifts the camera out of the grass.I liked the weight hook underneath for extra stabilisation in wind. When the tripod legs are spread out they can be locked in that postion with a lock nut (picture 3).The tripod quick release head is rather large and I would not want this on the camera for normal off-tripod use. The tropic quick release head also has a second lock pin for camcorders which pushes down out of the way for cameras. Problem: this lock pin is to the side of the screw when it should be ahead of it to fit a camcorder, so it is useless.Pros:Stable for its price and size.Smooth tripod directional movements. It holds up-down altitude setting well and does not creep downward after tightening.A nice height to get it out of long grass when out and about.Cons:Quick release head too big and second pin in wrong orientation for camcorders (although this doesn't stop you attaching a camcorder). Conclusion:A great little travel tripod for the cheap price. It won't last as long as a £100 branded travel tripod but it will do the job nicely.

Extremely Good Value Tripod
I searched long and hard to find the right tripod for my purposes. I needed it to be reasonably small yet of good sturdy construction and capable of supporting a pair of binoculars with a smartphone attachment. When I saw the Neewer tripod’s retail price I thought it couldn’t possibly satisfy any of the criteria I was looking for, how wrong I was. Constructed from aluminium and plastic, its light weight makes it very portable and easily stored when not in use and at the same time strong and sturdy enough to support your optical equipment up to a weight of 5 kilograms. I was totally blown away by its sturdy yet manoeuvrable construction. At all heights the tripod remains steady on its legs although I’ll mostly be using it at its lowest level for filming the comings and goings at the bird and squirrel feeder station from my kitchen worktop. Having a tilt range of 180 degrees and a Pan of 360 degrees I’ll always be guaranteed a good steady shot whether by camera or video.Given its price, the tripods quality is extremely good and I couldn’t really find fault with it. As someone who films the wildlife in his garden as a pleasurable pastime, this tripod is more than I could have expected at this price.I definitely recommend this tripod.
