Bro. Brooooo!These things are legit. As long as you’re handy with auto tools (particularly interior cabin stuff) these are perfect replacements for those pesky Yukon XL Denali TV monitors, that your kids opened and closed 1000 times, and the ribbon wire is simply wore out. You gotta remove the x4 7mm bolts from the roof, unplug and disconnect the units. Take it to a workbench, remove all the little screws holding the circuit board in, and pry and twist and yell at the actual monitor housing until it pops (you’ll sacrifice one edge of clips) then lift up the little clip that presses down on the ribbon cable at each end and voila!You my friend have just saved $530 on a replacement unit.

I followed directions online. Hardest part was the screen opening up because I broke some of the tabs. This product doesn’t have the retainer tab that the factory has but used it several months on weekly basis and so far no problems. Also WAY CHEAPER than replacing whole unit to a $750-1000 price tag.

The description says two ribbon cables are included but I only received one. Feels like I paid double for one cable. I installed it and it works but now I don’t have one for the rear tv and to get it resolved I will have to uninstall the whole tv again and ship them back the cable.
