Very satisfied
We bought this bike because a recumbent seems to work best for my wife's knee problem. She loves it. I assembled it, and as others have said, there are times when an extra pair of hands helps, but it went together just fine. I had one problem (I did not connect one of the wires as well as I should have). I contacted the company by phone, and I was gratified by how well I was helped. Excellent bike, great service from the company, fair price.

Pretty Darn Good
I just finished my first session on the bike after assembling it with my wife this morning. We opened the box in the garage and we carried the parts to the basement. Put it together slowly in about 90 minutes. The assembly instructions were passable, but definitely needed two people for a couple of the steps. No leftover parts and everything worked. I'm 70+yo, 6ft, and 220 lbs and the bike had room for someone taller and/or heavier. The controls were easy to figure out. First impression is that this a solid piece of equipment. I prefer arm rests as opposed to bars by the seat because I feel the ride is more comfortable. (And when I was going to the gym, I noticed that the bikes with arm rests went first.) The mechanism was quiet, the seat was comfortable, and the bike was stable. The adjustments all worked as they should. I am looking forward to years of riding.

Not for people with knee problems
I bought this bike because of the flexibility in adjusting the back and seat. Unfortunately, the hand bar on the control panel is not adjustable. Despite being only 5'5", I hit my knes on the handle constantly. In addition, the fact that the bike is powered by your pedaling makes it a very jerky motion at lower speeds. Rather than helping with my knee problem, this machine is just aggravating it. Now I have a very expensive and very large paperweight. Lesson learned, don't by fitness equipment if you can't try it first.

Return for No repair!
In bought this bike to replace my old bike. When it arrived the box was visibly damaged. When unpacking the bike the digital monitor was damaged, but worked somewhat. I planned on having this repaired, but I wanted to checkout the rest of the operations first. For the first couple of weeks everything seemed okay, but was uncomfortable. Then one day I received a mild shock through the armrest sensors. Then the monitor completely stopped work. I opened up the front to see if there was a lose connect and found a bare wire. I spliced the wire, but the monitor still did not work. I called the LifeSpan technician twice, but the schedule repairman never c contacted me. So I called a third time to have the item returned and my money refunded. They have not picked-up the bike as of yet. Until they do Amazon will not refund my cost. A couple of weeks later the contractor contacted me an eventually refunded me cost, but do the cost returning the bike they left with me to what I want. I tried to give it to Goodwill so they could repair and sell it, ended up taking it to the dump.

Exactly what I paid for!
It was tedious to put together bc the instructions are written poorly especially the pictures. Other than that, great sturdy bike that supports heavier bodies!

Terrible customer service
My husband has been trying to reach LifeSpan for well over a month because of a problem with the bicycle. It is relatively minor problem which we had shortly after we purchased it, a service person came and fixed the issue. It seems that the service company is no longer in business so my husband has been trying to reach the company. The phone rings and a computer picks up and put the caller on hold for about 30 minutes and sends the caller to voicemail. My husband has left numerous messages on the voicemail but so far no one has called him back. Terrible customer service!!

Quiet and very sturdy
Love this bike. The only issue was the control panel is a bit crooked but the bike is great .

Worked twice - no support from seller or manufacturer
Bike arrived, box in good shape. Went together alright.Used twice and then speedometer started getting erratic and then quit altogether.Contacted seller who told me part was on B/O. I guess they have problems with these because no one had looked at it for diagnosis and they were already sending parts. A couple of months later I got a part and then a few more weeks went by and a technician drove out. He couldn't fix it. He had them send more parts which arrived fairly soon. Another month has gone by and still no repairs. I wish to return it but no response from vendor. So, it is a gamble at best. Put your money on the table and see if your luck holds out.
