Easy to apply and does the job well
Used this for doing a front brake job on my Nissan Versa. Easy to use and I could do a lot of brake jobs with how much is in the tube. So far no complaints as everything is very quiet.

very handy
I bought this to lube the side seals on my garage door because they were sticking to the painted surfaces making the door chatter as it moved. It works very well and also keeps the door from freezing to the ground in the winter. There is a stick version which also works well and "colors" on like a crayon. It is also very handy as an assembly lube putting tight parts together.

Safe on rubber and plastic
Use on caliper pins where rubber is touching any lubricant. The wrong lube will swell rubber components causing binding, water leakage ect. Compatable with DOT3 and DOT4 brake fluids as well.Great for revitilizing door gaskets and preventing sticking in super cold weather. Spray silicone and this product is your rubber friend.

YAY ! The squeal is gone ...
... in my clothes dryer !! A little bit of product goes a long way! This product was highly recommended to use when replacing the guide rollers in the dryer. I followed that person's advice on pre-cleaning the posts (axels?) of dust/hair where the rollers go, and the application and use of a microfiber cloth to wipe off all the excess ( pretty much dry but for a tiny film left behind.. be careful not to touch after you wipe! )-- worked like a charm .. oh, i also used the cloth after to wipe around metal parts along the front and rear of the clothes tumbler (drum) to help as well ..that little bit of left over on the cloth was just enough for that-- A key point is to"wipe" till dry otherwise it will collect dust and dirt which is exactly why i had to replace the rollers a second time after i used spray silicone that gunked up the works in the first place

The best grease for caliper slide pins and brake hardware
I've used a lot of different greases for brake caliper pins, shoe adjusters, and other brake hardware. Aerosol lithium grease was convenient but just didn't hold up. Specialty brake greases (purple ceramic grease or that green super-special brake grease) gave inconsistent and usually lackluster results despite their price. Some made rubber parts swell and stick despite promising not to do that. Others dried out.A few years ago I did what I should have done all along and went back to using Sil-Glyde. It's what I was taught to use in technical college when I studied auto repair 20+ years ago. It worked well back then, lubricating effectively without damaging any rubber parts. It works just as well today. Every time I do a brake job all the caliper pins, slides, adjusters, and backing plate friction points get a dab of Sil-Glyde. It works just as well today as it did 20 years ago, too.I also use it for lubricating o-rings, plastic fittings and threads, etc. It seems to be pretty benign around plastic and rubber and I've never had a problem with it causing any embrittlement or swelling. It also works to keep rubber seals pliable. In a pinch I've used it on light bulb sockets to keep corrosion at bay, though I prefer dielectric grease if given the option.I have entirely too many different oils, greases, and other lubricants in my stash, but if I had to throw the majority away tomorrow, Sil-Glyde would still be on the KEEP pile.

Excellent all around lubricant at a great price and quantity.
Have used silglyde for more than 10 years and it’s an excellent lubricating product that’s actually safe for rubber but very effective to use in extreme conditions such as caliper guide pins. Highly recommend with great quantity and quality for the price.
