Well made, supportive, comfortable and warm!
Early days really testing these boots, but so far I'm really pleased with them. They were bought (after much research) to take me to Everest Base Camp next year so I wanted support (with a bit of flexibility), comfort and as much as warmth as possible as I get terribly cold toes! So far these are proving to be all of those things plus they're very stylish! They take a little bit of getting used to as this brand tend to really 'grip / hug' the bottom of your feet, so it's a slightly odd feeling but after a few wears I've got used to it. Only thing I would improve is the laces are a little slippery, but this might improve over time and can be overcome with clever knoting. Will update my review when I've had them for longer walks and given them a thorough Scottish winter test!

Great boots
Great boots, very comfortable and sturdy. Fit is slightly small so I went for a half size bigger which was perfect.

Quality
These boots are brilliant, they are quite a narrow fit, which is perfect for me, I would say I found the sizing a bit odd, I would normally order a size 7 in walking boots, but the 7 was much to big so reordered a uk 6.5 Eu 40 and they are perfect. The boots are very stiff at first and it taken sometime to get used to them. I like a hard sole that doesn’t bend when walking, and they are really supportive around the ankle, I am really pleased with them, if you need a lot of support when walking these are perfect.

Not waterproof!!
Had these boots for nearly a year! My old Meindl boots they replaced I had for 15 years and my feet were never wet-wishing now I never replaced them! I’m writing this review from my holiday in the lakes after spending each day with wet feet, one day I even had to remove my boots and wring out my socks! I’m so disappointed as the boots are comfy, attractive but utterly useless if they don’t keep your feet dry! This problem did not happen for the first few months of owning the boots.

A nimble but sturdy boot good for mixed terrain in a DRY climate
These boots come up pretty small and unfortunately they did not fit me. My poor toes were hitting the end of the boot on the descent and the boot really bit into my heel on the ascent. However, this is not the boot's fault and a half a size up would probably have remedied this. These boots have got stiff, hard soles and would suit someone who likes doing a good bit of scrambling. I found them a bit too stiff/hard for what I do and found my feet were quite achy by the end of the day, even with Superfeet insoles. I liked the stability the boot offered and they were a great help up the scrambley sections of The Cobbler. They felt very secure around the ankle and also felt quite nimble. They held up to the bogs and my feet stayed nice and dry. However, these boots are not very warm and I had very chilly toes upon reaching the summit! They would perhaps be more suited to summer hiking. All in all, these are a good, sturdy pair of boots suited to someone who wants a stiffer sole. I would advise anyone to go up half a size. I purchased a similar pair of boots (Salewa Alp Trainer Mid) half a size bigger and more suited to my interests and they fit well.EDIT: Now that I've gone on a few hikes with these boots I have to add that they are not very waterproof. Water is able to seep in through the tongue which is very disappointing seeing as the product is supposedly GoreTex.
