This is a quality tool that works well and stays sharp. It does a much better job than a cheap one I bought. The people that have complained about the tool may have gotten a cheap Ch1na knock off from an Amazon seller. They could also not know how to use it properly or care for it. I have a lot of Seiwa tools and they are all great quality.

A very nice tool, does exactly what it claims it does. Cuter is very sharp and the distance stop is easy to adjust. It first came with what I felt like the left-handed configuration (the stop was to the left of the cutter), but it was super easy to flip the stop.

A tool very beautiful, very sharp, easy to use, I recommand to those who want to have a work of quality!

The groove tip attachment of this product was used one time and it no longer works. The metal that creates the groove lost it ability to create the groove at any angle. I now have to find and buy the removable attachment in able for this product to work. Waste of money trying to navigate Amazon reputable seller, I was willing to spend extra for stuff that works but "us" customers always gets burn while Amazon makes tons of money.

Made in Japan, extremely good quality. It needs a few strop strokes, but it cuts like butter. A great tool at a fair price. It's so much better than junk from China. Pay a few more bucks and get a quality stitch groover.
