Simple and Gets the Job Done
The Donner Guitar Wall Mount Locking 3-Pack looks and feels a bit cheap, but it does the job. If you’re just looking for an affordable way to hang your guitars, these work fine. There’s probably no reason to spend more unless you really care about aesthetics.

Excellent (said to the dialect of Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure)
Before these magical Auto-Locking Guitar Wall Mounts came into my life, my guitars lived in constant peril—teetering on stands, leaning against walls, and occasionally launching themselves into the abyss like rock stars diving into a mosh pit. But no more! The Auto-Lock is Pure Wizardry. I love not having to worry about these falling. They automatically grab my guitar when I hang it up and release it like a loyal butler when I lift it. It’s like my guitars have a personal valet. It handles all my stringed children: my acoustic, my electric, my bass, and even my ukulele, which now sits proudly instead of getting lost in the coat closet. My oddly shaped headstocks? No problem. These mounts don’t discriminate—they cradle everything like a loving parent. Installation was easy. The process is drill hole, insert anchor, screw in hanger—done. Simple, right? Unless you’re me, who once tried assembling IKEA furniture and ended up with three extra legs. But even I managed to install these in just minutes, so that’s saying something. I love the look... now my guitars float elegantly on my wall like they're part of an exclusive exhibit at the Museum of Rock. My friends walk in and immediately assume I’m cooler than I actually am. 10/10, would let my guitars flex again. Unfortunately, this mount has dramatically increased the efficiency of my metalhead brother-in-law. He can now go from parking his car outside to filling the house with Metallica riffs in about 3.7 seconds. It’s impressive... but also slightly terrifying. My ears and my sanity are still adjusting. So if you’ve ever had the heartbreaking experience of watching your beloved instrument take an unscheduled trip to the floor, get these mounts NOW. Your guitars will thank you. Your walls will thank you. Your soul will thank you—just be prepared for spontaneous shredding sessions if you have any aspiring rock gods in the family.

Best for Acoustic Guitars
These are decently well made, but be aware they stand a good distance from the wall so they work best for an acoustic guitar. The front face of my acoustic measures over 6” from the wall, which includes about 2” air space distance from back of guitar body to wall (measured at top of body). I guess this is okay for an acoustic guitar but looks rediculous for a thin body electric, like a fender Stratocaster guitar. I bought this 3 pack for a mix of 2 electrics and 1 acoustic but will just use for acoustics. I bought a couple of hangers from a local music store that work better for the electrics. Maybe they could modify these so the mounting plate that goes against the wall is thin (for hanging electrics), then they can include a wider spacer that optionally can go underneath the thin wall plate to make the distance further from the wall to accommodate the thicker acoustic guitars, that way both types can use this. Just a thought.

Great Holders!
As I’ve gotten older, I realize that convenience matters. For just about everything. But specifically for playing guitar. In the past, I placed my guitars safely in cases or gig bags, and then stowed them away in a closet until I had the overwhelming urge to pull them out and noodle. Of course, that was a problem. I can sum that problem up with an old truism: “Out of sight, out of mind.” Turns out I didn’t pull them out much. Consequently, I didn’t get much better, even after some 30 years of owning guitars. On a whim, I ordered a 4-pack of cheap guitar hangers off Amazon (Huhu brand) and hung them in my bonus room. Then I hung my 4 favorite guitars. Immediately, I found myself playing guitar every day. Just to be clear about how much of a dramatic change this was--It’s quite possible that, in the past, I’d gone entire years without picking up a six-string, and now I was playing every single day! Additionally, guitars are great decor. They made my man-cave far more manly, let me tell you! Who needs overpriced art work when you can just adorn your walls with a sunburst Fender Telecaster instead? So you may be wondering when I’m going to get around to talking about the Donner Guitar Hangers. That starts now. You see, I still had three guitars to hang, and while I liked the Huhu hangers, I wasn’t a big fan of their rubbery gasket pieces that were designed to keep the guitars from accidentally falling off. They worked, but seemed a bit too flimsy. So I noticed that Donner offered an auto locking version. Since I was already a fan of Donner products, I figured I’d give them a shot. They’re great. I installed them easily, using nothing more than a phillips head screwdriver and a magnetic stud finder. Everything else (bolts, screws, and nuts) comes with the hangers. In less than five minutes, I had all three mounted. The auto-locking feature is a clever design. As you place the guitar in the holder, its weight pulls down and activates the auto-locks, which tip up like flippers on a pinball machine, holding the guitar firmly in place. Well done, Donner!

Very nice
I was hesitant, at first, to buy these. A lot of folds wrote that the cams don't rotate the locks correctly, or they don't rotate at all. The first one I installed worked fine. The next one I installed faster and noticed that one lock was not closing all the way. Upon careful examination I found that I had inadvertently laid out the holes for the screws slightly out of plumb. Luckily I used SB-Anchors and there was enough play to plumb the unit and the cam worked properly. I did not like the alleged anchor screws they provided. Most folds don't realize it but those are for concrete or thick plaster walls. They will eventually come loose and you don't want that happening to your instruments. The solution is the appropriate sheetrock fastener, I call them SB-Anchors but I'm not sure what they are really called. They are metal, are tapped into the wall like the plastic ones, but when you turn the screw the metal sheathing folds like and accordion and grabs the wall board. Another issue I found that effects the locks is the weight of the instrument. I hang acoustic guitars, banjos and ukuleles on mine. Some of the instruments aren't heavy enough to push the cam down so the lock will rotate into place. It would also be nice if they were adjustable or came with an insert for smaller headstock instruments.

Looks sturdy and worth the price
The package was tore up by the time it got to me, but I'm not completely faulting any ONE person for it, but I thought it could be packaged a bit better. Even with the package tore up, everything was still in the box and looked like it was still in good condition. I won't be hanging it until after Christmas since it will be a Christmas gift, but it looks like it will be perfect for my daughter's acoustic guitar.

Easy to install and really great result
Comes with two sets of hardware to mount, easy to install and looks great. The pressure based locking mechanism is really cool too!

Light gauge plastic, not thick plastic and the plastic around the screw hole it not very thick.
These seem to be very light gauge plastic wall mounts. I'm not confident that they would hold up over time. Plastic tends to get brittle over time and these aren't of thick plastic where I would hate to see a broken guitar on the ground due to the mounts possibly giving out. Maybe they can be used for a very light small guitar ?

Incompatible with Fender Telecaster and Fender Jazz Bass
Unfortunately it's not compatible with both of the guitars I wanted to hang. For Fender Telecaster, the clamp is too wide, and the guitar is not secured safely. For Fender Jazz Bass, the clamp simply is not aligned. Other products allow rotating to accomodate for uneven head shapes, but not this one.

Solid wall hangers, strong grip and easy install
These wall hangers do exactly what they’re supposed to do. Installation was quick and straightforward, and once mounted, they feel solid and secure. The auto-lock feature works well and holds the guitar firmly in place without scratching or putting pressure where it shouldn’t. I’ve used them with both acoustic and electric guitars, and they handle the weight with no issues. The padding is soft enough to protect the finish, and the swivel design helps keep the guitar sitting properly on the wall. Overall, good build quality, clean look, and no surprises. If you’re looking for reliable wall hangers that just work, these are a safe buy.
