The Big Rock (Aladdin Picture Books)

This is a great little book, for adults as well as kids. The content is very informative, and I imagine challenging for kids. The art is great. It was a joy reading this book.

Bruce Hiscock is the author and illustrator of this fine book. Backed up by great geologist like Bill Roher, you can depend on the book being factual and informative for kids of all ages.

Art is unexceptional, and it jumps about a bit. A child would like to have this big rock on every page...something to hunt for. I'd put your money elsewhere.

A great book to share the rock cycle with young elementary students. A must-have for a collection of reading material on rocks and minerals.

This is a wonderful book, and great addition to second grade science curriculum! Arrived in fabulous condition!

This is a favorite book for both my boys. So much so that I just bought a copy for us since they always wanted the one from the library. My older son especially loves learning about why things are the way they are and this book describes geology in a way that is absolutely fascinating for him.
