Trulysine L-Lysine

I read description and chose this for my 3 feral kittens. One had squinty eyes with one inflamed looking, you could hear the poor little one breath. All three were sneezing and under weight and skittish of me. Couldn’t get close to anyone including mama who’s mama I’ve known since a big kitten. They are ferals that I do my best to take care of. So I ordered this to try to help them hoping it would help. To get the little to eat, I put this in chicken dinner baby food by itself and with the páte I was feeding them. There is no special food for one with this group, good thing this is for cats health in general and so glad for mama’s milk. I fed them 2xday with two scoops in each can two at a time to make sure they ate it all. I almost cried of happiness when two days later no more sneezing and her squinty non inflamed eye opened. Mama’s milk helped. So I increased feeing to 4xday. And in a week she engaged in eating with the rest and her eye is so much better. So now all 4 kittens come closer to me as long as I don’t reach for them and the two mamas. The third adult I think had a littler. The visiting Tom Cat chased my other ferals. Can’t get rid of him. The kittens are so cute. I’m trying to get the 3 them plump like the 4th one. I just ordered my second jar that should be hear today. I can not stress how much This Jar has helped my babies that I can’t pet. This Jar has made me feel good that I’m taking care of them and enjoying their play. The fourth one wouldn’t play with the three. Thought their was something wrong with that one, til I heard the sneezing. Then figured that was the healthy one. I plan on getting another jar to keep them healthy. I definitely recommend This Jar to all cats!! Thank You for This Jar!! I have more cats and all of them gets this. I put it in their wet food 2x a day to make sure they all get some. This is my 3rd jar and not issues.

My cats LOVE it. If I set the jar down, one of them will be eating out of the jar and the others trying to get it. They have been eating better, not sneezing as much and not as stuffy. I'm going to have to start getting 2 jars a month instead of one. I sprinkle it on the food, wet and dry for my personal cats and the feral and colony cats. They all live this stuff!!

Easy to add into the wet food! Four stars just because my picky cat did not like it much.

I got this for a stray kitten. The kitten started sneezing and coughing A LOT. (After doing a bit of research, I figured the kitten must have caught a cold and learned that both brewer's yeast and Lysine can assist cats and kittens in recovering from such infections. I also read it can help prevent cold infections, flea infestations, and tick infestations.) The kitten's health did improve greatly, however, the kitten keeps relapsing. (He will be fine for a few days, and then start sneezing again. Then be fine for a few days, then start sneezing again.) I am convinced that the product has greatly aided the kitten's health. However, if the kitten does not fully recover in the next few days, I will be trying another brand. Sincerely hoping he recovers without having to switch brands. The kitten readily eats this one and the price is within my budget. Note: The ONLY reason I gave this product 4 stars is because the kitten keeps relapsing. If it were not for that, I would have given this product 5 stars. UPDATE: The stray kitten is well again. The scoop is very small. I think I was not giving the kitten a full half scoop. At least, a few days after I increased the amount I was giving the kitten, the kitten stopped relapsing. Upgrading my 4 star rating to 5 stars. Super wonderful stuff!! I am keeping the kitten on this supplement as a preventive measure. Another awesome thing is the kitten has no fleas, ticks, lice, mites, or other external parasites. I am convinced the brewers yeast in this product is what is deterring said parasites from being on the kitten. Again, super awesome stuff!! I highly recommend!!

My cats do great on this vitamin for them. Their fur is soft, fluffy and shiny. Their nails grow quickly but they are healthy nails. Vet recommended cat approved.

The cats love it and while I’m not entirely sure if lysine helps reduce the frequency of kitty colds…it’s harmless

I don’t leave reviews often, but wanted to warn other cat owners because this made my cat extremely SICK. We’ve tried 3 other Lysine supplements and did great with all of them. This one immediately gave my cat explosive diarrhea that he couldn’t control (all over the house). His balance was off and had a hard time walking, and had a very uncomfortable, out-of-it look to his face. I didn’t realize what caused it at first and I almost took him to the animal hospital. After this, he wouldn’t eat for a couple days, so also didn’t get lysine. Eventually he got better, and the moment I gave him the lysine, he was sick again. This happened 3 times before I figured out this Lysine was the cause. Since stopping it, he has gone back to normal with no return of symptoms. I don’t know what is in this stuff, but I’ve never experienced anything like this with my cat (who is 16 years old). Please don’t risk it - but if you do, watch your cat closely for a reaction.

My 4 month old kitten had continual fever. He is a rescue. His body was healing from eye surgery and he'd already been to the vet to get antibiotic shots twice plus I had to administer antibiotics by mouth for 7 days straight. After all that, still a fever. So I got this and started sprinkling it on his food. I even tried mixing it in. Sometimes he'd only take a couple of bites and waste the rest. Sometimes he wouldn't eat it at all. Some of the reviews said their cats gobble this right up. Not mine. So I don't know if this did anything....or if the antibiotics in his system continued to work and do their job. He went back to the vet for follow up earlier this week and he no longer has the fever. I just wish I could get him to eat it as it seems to have a lot of natural health benefits. My kitten already has a beautiful coat, but some reviews said their cats eyes and coats got even more beautiful after being on this. I'll keep trying to find ways to sneak this in but the verdict is still out as to whether it works since he barely eats it.

My cats like the taste better than the more well-known brand and this one is a wee bit cheaper and is the same strength. My cats even stick their head in the jar and want to lick it!
