Winter's Chill Has Met Its Match
I recently put my new Columbia Men's Bugaboot III Snow Boots to the ultimate test, wearing them on a camping trip in a frigid -28-degree weather, and I must say, they exceeded my expectations!First and foremost, the fit is spot on. Right from the moment I slipped them on, I could feel that these boots were designed with comfort in mind. They hugged my feet just right without feeling too tight or too loose. The real highlight, however, has to be the warmth they provided. In temperatures that would make even the bravest winter adventurers think twice, my feet remained toasty and snug. It's not just a mere claim; these boots genuinely live up to the promise of keeping the cold at bay.I'm also quite impressed with the appearance of these boots. They look super nice, boasting a sleek and stylish design that doesn't sacrifice function for form. Whether I'm out in the wilderness or running errands in town, these boots fit the bill.Durability seems to be a strong suit as well. The build quality feels robust, and after some serious winter trudging, they still look and feel as good as new.In conclusion, the Columbia Men's Bugaboot III Snow Boots have earned a place in my winter wardrobe. If you're looking for snow boots that combine comfort, warmth, style, and durability, these are undoubtedly worth the investment. Winter's chill has indeed met its match!

Excellent Boot, Better than 5-Stars
Based on shoe companies that sell accurate sizes I wear a 11.5. Followed other customer recommendations, ordered 1/2 size up and they fit perfect. Been using them for doing outside homestead work, in northern MI frigid temperatures and my feet are staying completely warm and dry. Giving these things a beating and they are still like new, and my feet feel great. Have no interest in other boots now, I think I found the one!

As others have said, these run a little small
I try and walk my dog every day when the weather is tolerable. Once the snow arrived, I realized that the waterproof leather hiking boots I already owned wouldn't work. While they were amply warm and dry, the synthetic soles - even with the 'lug' tread pattern - were extremely slippery, so I started looking around for a better 'winter walking boot' (and we have snow on the ground for around 5 months of the year). I decided to give these Columbia boots a try. While I normally wear a 10 1/2 medium-width size shoe/boot, based on the input from other reviews, I ordered a size 11 (1/2 size larger) and also the 'wide' width rather than the 'normal' width. The boots arrived the other day. I tried them on and was glad I ordered a 1/2 size larger than normal. With heavier socks on, it gave me about 1/2" of room in front of my toes. The wider width also helped...no 'tightness' along the sides of my feet - and even if the insulation compresses over time, there is enough adjustment in the laces to further tighten the fit.Wore them the other morning when I went to walk my dog. Temperature was around 16 degrees and there was about an inch of fresh snow on top of hard-packed snow and ice on the streets. Once the boots 'cooled' (to the outside temp), traction was pretty good...still had to be careful in areas where underlying ice coated the streets. We walked about a mile and a half that morning. Feet were warm and dry and boots felt comfortable even though they're not 'broken in' yet. I was initially concerned about the 'height' of the boots (i.e. cutting into my shins when I walked) but this didn't happen...and the additional 'height' actually kept snow from getting inside the boots. One thing I noticed is that the 'lining' of the boots (like the 'lining' of other cold weather boots I have) is a fabric that makes it a little more difficult to 'slide' your feet into and out of the boots. To remedy this, I normally slip one of those thin plastic throwaway shopping (grocery) bags over my socks which makes it easier to slide your feet in and out. Also, if your feet 'sweat' while your walking, these bags will keep the boot linings dry. After I've had these boots for awhile I may update this review if I notice something worth mentioning.

Warm but hurt a little
The fit is great and they DO keep your feet very warm. But after wearing them for a couple hours, the top hurts your calves. I’m hoping they will break in the more I wear them and not hurt so much. Quality seems great so far.

They run small but size up works
I clear snow for large properties and I’m often outside for hours walking around in cold weather. These boots are one of the best as far as waterproof and warmth I’ve ever worn. They don’t fall apart easily and can be rinsed off after work to get salt and mud off of them. They run small but I would recommend getting a size up anyway if you wear thicker socks while working outside in the cold. Hopefully this helps anyone considering these boots.

Fit is small!
Love the boot but! The fit is way small. I normally wear a size 10, ordered a 10.5 it was too small both in length and width, returned them. Reordered size 11.5 wide, this was a good fit. Room for winter socks, toes not cramped. Go big or return and try again! Return was easy but the price changed allot when I wanted to just do an exchange. So instead I did a return and then a new order, price was still a little higher but way less than an exchange.

Comfortable and Quality
The Columbia Bugaboot III winter boots have been a game-changer for me during the colder months. The first thing that struck me was their exceptional insulation; my feet stayed remarkably warm even in sub-zero temperatures. The build quality is impressive, with durable materials that have held up well against snow, slush, and rough terrain. The Omni-Grip outsoles provided excellent traction, preventing any slips even on icy surfaces, which was a huge plus for me during outdoor activities.Comfort-wise, these boots are a win. The cushioning and support they offer are top-notch, making long walks or hikes a breeze. They are also surprisingly lightweight for their level of warmth and protection. One aspect to note is their sizing—consider going a half-size up for a more comfortable fit, especially if wearing thicker socks.Overall, the Columbia Bugaboot III boots are a reliable choice for anyone seeking warmth, durability, and traction in harsh winter conditions. They've exceeded my expectations and have become my go-to winter footwear.
