If you've been using Apple products for a long time you've gone through many interations in which Apple decides once again to change the design of the charging cables on your products. Each time this happens there is usually a period during which it makes sense to pick up adapters that allow you to use the older cables on your new product. At least now, on their mobile devices, they've gone to usb-c rather than yet another proprietary charging cable design. If you have lots of Lightning cables around but also now have usb-c iPhones or iPads or both these adapters give you more charging cable options much more cheaply than buying new cables. At $10 for 4 or about $2.50 each you can use a Lightning cable to charge and backup or transfer data to/from your usb-c devices. The seller claims this also works with non-Apple devices. I don't doubt it but I don't have any way to test it but I can easily charge my iPad and back it up to my Mac using a Lightning cable. This makes things simpler because my phone uses a Lightning cable so I can backup both my iPhone and my iPad with the same cable. Just to be safe I tested all 4 adapters in the package and all 4 worked just fine. The seller also lists several functions these adapters do not support. Be sure to read carefully or just remember they only allow charging and data transfer. As far as I know no other functions are supported but charging and data transfer are very helpful.

These Lightning to USB adapters can be used on a number of devices. They are trivially simple to use. Just plug them in and power is sent to your device. Very simple device with simple characteristics. Easy to use. This lets you reuse your old lightning power supplies to charge USB-C devices. I have an older iPhone (Lightning port) and newer iPad (USB-C) and these little adapters are super handy! They function exactly as described and don't negatively affect the charging speed. I did test this out on a Lightning-to-HDMI cable and can confirm that, as advertised, these do not work for audio/video. Overall, super happy with these adapters! They're great little items to have on hand if you own devices that have both Lightning and USB-C ports.

The adapter is small and performs well. I keep one in the iPhone 15 case along with the charging cable. I leave one in the drawer of my desk at work in case I forget to bring along an adapter with me when leaving for work. As I do not use the iPhone 15 as a cellular phone, I need to turn on the phone less often but the adapter allows me to power the phone whenever I am connected to a WiFi network. I use the iPhone 15 at work to access the internet via WiFi during my lunch breaks. The adapter serves its function very well and has saved some money. I am able to recharge and power my iPhone 15 with an older iPhone charging cable and not have to buy a new charging cable.

These adapters are meant for lightning cables converting to a USB-C port. The seller does not mention lightning cables, or iPhone, or Apple, perhaps due to trademark reasons, but this is the intended purpose. I was able to attach this adapter to my lightning cables. (Whether it is the regular USB-A to lightning cables, or the fast charging USB-C to lightning cables). I am happy that they snap on, indicating that they will not come loose accidentally. When I plugged it into an iPhone 16e, it was able to charge it from 15% to 80% in under 1.5 hours. So the rapid charging works so long as your charger and cable is rated for rapid charging. These adapters are useful for the following scenarios: - you recently upgraded from an older iPhone model (iPhone 14 and earlier) to a newer iPhone that uses USB-C instead of lightning port, but you have lots of usable charging cables at home and don’t want to buy new ones yet. - or some of your family members still use the older models, while one person or more is using the newer model, but you want the flexibility of using older cables and these adapters to charge your newer phones.
