Mechman Alternators S-Series 6 Phase, 240 amp, 12V, 6 Rib Serpentine Pulley, Saddle Mount, Natural, Jeep Inline 6-Cylinder, Jeep Cherokee 1991-2001, Each (13341240)

I'm gonna start off slapping myself for not buying one sooner. So here in the real world where you undo if I recall correctly 7 or 8 bolts/nuts throw a useless front bracket in the scrap bin and grind literally 1/16 or at most 1/8" of the cast factory bracket most of which is extra casting material. Get the next smallest 6 rib belt and boom you are making some serious power. I'm not sure what the other reviewer was pu$$¥ aching about but I did it in a couple hours outside at roughly -30°f and all is well and I couldn't be happier.

Item is larger than stock and wouldn't fit. I was instructed by Mechman to remove one of two brackets which I didn't like the idea of. After removing first bracket it still wouldn't fit and was hitting engine block. Mechman insisted that it was the second bracket that it was hitting and that in "rare" circumstances it won't fit without grinding the bracket. I told them that I wouldn't do that and they ignored my statement of it hitting the block. Don't purchase unless you want to cut into your vehicle.
