There was an amazing amount of detail in this for a CGI movie, especially since I watched it with my  TV Eyes 3-D Glasses: Watch any movie in 3-D  which made the movie much clearer. Everything looks much more realistic this time around. Shrek has lost the somewhat plastic look of the first two movies and the performances are much more subtle and real (well, as subtle as Shrek is going to get anyway.) I loved some of the looks that got thrown around between Shrek, Donkey and Puss.All the characters from the first two movies are back, and that makes for some impressive crowd scenes, and there are a lot of them in this movie. Far Far Away has become a much more populated, and much more diverse place. As well as the palace there are also run down alleys, boat docks, harbors, forests, a medieval high school, a hermits hut, several dungeons, and a rather impressive stage for Prince Charming.All the original actors are back doing their character's voices and that makes for a wonderful continuity and a great sense of family and familiarity in the show.Perhaps this isn't the best Shrek storywise, but it is a good story, with plenty of humor, one-liners, catchy songs, and absolutely gorgeous imagery.And baby ogres of course. They're worth it all by them selves. (And, in my opinion, Julie Andrews as the Queen steals the show when she upstages all the snooty young princesses. :) )

A fantastic gallop (or terrified tumbling in the case of Donkey) through story book lands. I love the Shrek series, and I'm a grown adult now, but I loved them as teens too, and I see no reason why mature children could not see this movie. The plot is, of course, a daring rescue! What better inspiration for a daring quest than love in peril?The humor and hysterical parallels between the real world and Fairy Tale World are downright hilarious at times, and exceeding accurate!But despite the silliness these movies have an amazing amount of heart. And they really do try to show that doing the right thing makes you the right person. Not the right things or title or looks. For an animated series it's one of my favorites. I recommend it to anyone or any age group.I just wish they would make more!

I read reviews of some film critics that Shrek the Third wasn't up to the quality of its predecessors, but bought it anyway. After all, the Amazon price was less than parking, two tickets and a popcorn at the local multi-plex. Critics said Shrek III was just a rehash, the same 'ol - same 'ol. Maybe so, but my wife and I found ourselves laughing out loud and throughly charmed. We'll have to watch it several times to glean all the subtleties, sight gags and double entendres. Sometimes, same 'ol - same 'ol is just fine. How many times have we watched the original Miracle on 34th Street with the same child-like wonder? Shrek the Third appeals to those willing to be children again, without suffering Hollywood's usual assault on innocence.

FIRST, I LIKE THE SHREK THE THIRD MOVIE..WAS GOOD...THE PART THAT I MOST DEFINATELY DID NOT LIKE...WAS THE DVD HAD COMMERICIALS, TRAILERS, ECT...AT THE START OF THE MOVIE....I PAID FOR SHREK THE THIRD DVD...NOT A COMMERICIAL PACKED DVD...OF OTHER MOVIES ECT....WHICH RUINS THE WHOLE DVD....HAD TO HIT FAST FORWARD THROUGH WHAT 5-6 MOVIE TRAILERS, JUST TO GET TO THE MAIN SCREEN...TO ACCESS THE MOVIE....SAD, WHEN YOU HAVE TO LITTERLY SEARCH FOR THE MOVIE, THAT I PURCHASED....THINKING THAT IT WOULD POP UP FIRST THING...AND SPENT...15 MINUTES....JUST TO ACCESS THE DARNED MOVIE.....THUMBS DOWN....MOVIE WAS GREAT...WHOM EVER COMPILED, PUT TOGETHER THE DVD, DID A LOWSEY JOB...OF PEDDLE- PUSHING OTHER DVDS...

I know a lot of people were disappointed with this film, but it really isn't a bad picture, I just think that it pales when compared to the first two. The idea is interesting enough one--the frog king dies leaving Shrek next in line to be king unless he can find a distant cousin to the king named Arthur. The Arthurian myths are only barely touched despite the presence of Arthur and Merlin. I think they dropped the ball with that one. I laughed at a few scenes with the Gingerbread Man, but overall this one lacked the charm of the other films. Maybe the characters are getting stale, or maybe the writing wasn't up to snuff. I will probably buy this one to go with the first two, but on its' own it is a toss up.

I find Shrek 3 to be very funny. I saw that some reviewers thought it was the worst of the 3 Shreks. I was very surprised to see those reviews. Although a friend of mine thought it was not very good too. He admitted he might have had a bad day watching it. I thought it was one of the better ones. Sometimes with humor, much of it depends on if you get the humor. The Pinocchio scene where he had to tell Charming some info was hilarious. Charming knows he can't tell a lie and it is clever how they got Pinocchio to answer Charming. The facial expressions of Puss N Boots and the 3 pigs were very fitting.My kids loved it also. If you have clever humor, you will enjoy the movie.

Die Fortsetzung der Shrek-Filmreihe liefert erneut eine gelungene Mischung aus humorvollen Dialogen, cleveren Anspielungen und herzerwärmenden Charakteren.Die Animation des Films ist beeindruckend und die visuellen Effekte sind atemberaubend. Jede Szene ist voller Farbe und Details, die die Zuschauer in die fantastische Welt von Shrek eintauchen lassen. Die Charaktere sind liebenswert und haben ihre einzigartigen Persönlichkeiten, die für viele Lacher sorgen.Die Handlung ist gut durchdacht und bietet eine interessante Entwicklung der Charaktere. Shrek, Fiona, Esel und alle anderen bekannten Figuren nehmen die Zuschauer mit auf ein neues Abenteuer voller Spaß und unerwarteter Wendungen.Neben dem humorvollen Aspekt enthält der Film auch wichtige Botschaften über Freundschaft, Zusammenarbeit und die Bedeutung des inneren Wertes.Insgesamt ist „Shrek der Dritte“ ein absoluter Genuss für die ganze Familie. Es ist ein Film, den man immer wieder anschauen kann und der jedes Mal ein Lächeln auf die Gesichter der Zuschauer zaubert. Ein absoluter Klassiker, der in keiner Filmsammlung fehlen sollte.

Che dire, bellissimo cartone animato ,arrivato in un giorno 🥰

Inhalt: Shrek möchte der Verantwortung, der nächste König von Far-Far-Away zu werden, entgehen und macht sich deshalb auf die Suche nach Artus, dem nächsten in der Thronfolge. Prinz Charming verfolgt derweil andere Pläne.... Für den Inhalt gibt's von mir nur *** Sterne, da die ganze Geschichte für meinen Geschmack etwas zu dünn und vorhersehbar ausgefallen ist.Ausstattung: Leider sind die Extras auf dieser DVD im Vergleich zu den Vorgängern etwas sehr mager/uninspiriert ausgefallen, daher leider nur ** Sterne.Positives: Wie zu erwarten war, gibt es auch in diesem Teil wieder Anspielungen genug und Spaß für die ganze Familie ist garantiert. Klasse Musik, liebenswürdige (neue) Charaktere und alte und neue Gegenspieler machen auch den dritten Teil wieder sehenswert. Die technische Umsetzung ist auch wieder hervorragend. Da teilweise aber der Überraschungseffekt (wie in den ersten beiden Teilen) fehlt, nur **** Sterne für diesen Punkt.Negatives: Mit fehlt etwas die Spritzigkeit der ersten beiden Teile. Unerwartete Wendungen, die sehr zum unverwechselbaren Humor von Shrek I und II beigetragen haben fehlen hier leider etwas. Da Shrek der Dritte hier etwas schwächelt nur ** Sterne.Fazit: Leider konnte ich mir Shrek III nicht im Kino anschauen, also musste die DVD her. Beim ersten Mal anschauen, war ich zunächst etwas enttäuscht, hatte ich mir doch mehr Anspielungen und neue Gags erwartet (die Erwartungshaltung ist mittlerweile nach den erstklassigen beiden ersten Teilen ja sehr hoch). Da unser Sohn (er würde wahrscheinlich 5 Sterne geben) ein unheimlicher Shrek-Fan ist, habe ich die DVD mittlerweile bestimmt 5 Mal gesehen und ich muss sagen, es macht immer wieder Spaß. Es gibt genügend witzige Details zu entdecken, so dass auch nach ein paar Mal anschauen kein Langeweile aufkommt. Mir gefällt Shrek der Dritte auf jeden Fall immer besser und der Kauf dieser DVD war bestimmt kein Fehler. Insgesamt komme ich also auf *** Sterne. Da mein Sohn aber findet, dass auch Shrek der Dritte klasse ist, gebe ich noch einen Bonus-Stern: Also doch noch verdiente 4 Sterne!
