This is a compact, neat and stylish little machine. It is very simple to set-up, and it does the job perfectly. I have tested it with both region 1 and region 2 dvds and it plays both well.For the price, it's a bargain!

This really is a good value product. It's cheap, simple and functional. Makes a little noise when it's what I call idling, but really is a very good little player. I say little because it's compact, fits very neatly almost anywhere. Very easy to use and has all the functions any reasonable person could want. Yes it plays all the regions of dvds that I have. It's not the Rolls Royce of players but at this price it is exceedingly good value. Oh and last but not least, great service from these "monkeys" (see sellers name) speedy delivery and tracking so good that you can watch the delivery guy drive round your town, down your street and meet him/her at the door before they even knock!

Ive not watched tv for about 9 years now so ive been buying old comedy and sci-fi dvds. Some dvds I want are not uk region so I thought id go for a multi region player to give me the option of buying old obscure dvd sets. The player has worked fine up to yet.. only had it a couple of weeks or so. Its very lightweight and compact. The real downside is that the remote is so tiny, its very difficult to read what the buttons say and to press them as they are very, very small. Thankfully, i have a magnifying glass! :-) Cant comment on the longevity of this item as its new but i hope it works for some years to come. It was basically, out of the box play. Not really anything to set up other than to plug the cables in. Pleased so far.

When this arrived, I just gave the instruction book a quick once over and set it up. YOU WILL NEED AN HDMi CABLE TO DO SO, or scart lead. MY BIGGEST MISTAKE was that when it was all set up, I did not go into the menu to configure the settings for the microphone (if you dont have one you will need to buy one). I plugged the mic in, put a karaoke disc in, got it rolling and any noise through the mic was just awful with the echoing. I became very frustrated because I also have a soundbar connected to my tv and I thought I could connect the dvd player to the soundbar and everything would be ok. WRONG! When I got up this morning after thinking about the situation, I tried again. This time I did not turn the soundbar on, I just used the volume on the tv. PERFECTION. Although I am a 77 year old lady with not a lot of techi knowhow, I gave myself a tap on the back (cos there is nobody else to give me one). It was only then that I went into the menu which I should have done as soon as everything was set up, and in the sound menu, there are lots of things you are able to do to suit your situation including grading the echo. I did the seller an injustice by sending a message (out of frustration) and now I shall send another message with sincere apologies. This very reasonably priced item is one of the best things I have bought recently, saying that it doubles up as a Karaoke machine. Although it states in the description it plays bluray like dvd's, I have a Bluray player and it is nothing like as good. However, it does what it says on the box, and you will not be disappointed.

Excellent compact DVD player easy to set up very good picture quality even if you use scart to scart ,multi regional straight from the box, remote is a bit small but it works perfectly, a previous reviewer claimed that there is no search buttons this reviewer needs a eye test the search buttons are on the bottom left on the remote, very easy to use and very good value, if l get my refund for the first one l ordered that Amazon managed to lose ,Very happy with this product.

Our old one after 12 years became disfunctional, but we have so many good dvd's we really wanted another one.This is a really good buy. To be able to use a scart or HMD1 is quite unusual these days (the only one we found like this). We use the scart as a permanent fixture and HMD1 for streaming which saves on visible cables from your tv. The set up took about two minutes, a simple plug in, change your format on your tv screen to your player and away you go. No scart or usb cable come with the player but we had kept ours from the previous player so able to set up immediately. Really happy with this little light dvd/cd player.

This is the second purchase of this model of DVD player. The first was as a cheap, take on holiday player. The first purchase worked well until the noise from it increased and it stopped reading any discs whatsoever. Those it did try to read are now unplayable on any player. I put this overall degradation down to wear and tear from taking it to Vienna several times and it being in my hold luggage.I have had this second purchase for just over 3 months now and the experience is very different. The quality is appalling with the player seeming much more flimsy as is the remote control. Picture quality is worse than before. But what infuriates me the most is the player while on standby will randomly switch itself on and off, sometimes even opening the drawer when doing so. When playing a disc it will randomly flash up 'Invalid Key' on the screen, pause the playback before occasionally restarting automatically though most of the time I have to press play on the remote. The drawer will open and sometimes automatically close before resuming playback. Worst case scenario, I get 'Invalid Key', 'Pre stop', 'Stop', then the drawer automatically opens before sometimes closing and starting the disc right from the beginning rather than resuming from where it was. That said, occasionally it will work as it should with no problems.Would I recommend this player? Based on both my first and especially second experience, I would definitely not recommend it. Yes, it's easy to use with a very basic interface and you can't expect too much for the price, but for my experience to have two players suffer faults like these is unacceptable.In light of this I will not be purchasing another Grouptronics product.

Nach der Bestellung dachte ich noch, ist das richtig was ich da bestellt habe?Als ich dann das Gerät auspackte u. in meine HIFI - Anlage 5.1 einbaute u. dann das Klangvolumen zu hören bekam, war sofort begeistert.Bei diesen Preis ! diese Wiedergabequalität!Es war absolut die richtige Entscheidung.Wer allerdings die gängisten Begriffe - Bezeichnungen u. kein Englisch versteht, hat Probleme, da es keineBedienungsanleitung in " Deutsch" gibt.Auch im Internet nicht möglich.Gruß Gerd
