I work in a cancer hospital, and so I've been wearing masks for the last few years. These are the kind we always had before covid, and had to wear them whenever we were under the weather. Throughout the pandemic, the hospital provided us with a few different masks, but this one was the most comfortable for me personally. A few of the other styles don't grip the nose as well, and some irritated my face a bit (snagging on facial hair, etc.) Because of this, I bought boxes of these, and was the envy of many of my coworkers who were stuck with the other kinds. (I shared, but still...) This kind is what I would most-highly recommend, ESPECIALLY if you wear glasses- the nose piece is malleable and flexible so you can get a good grip on the bridge of your nose, but it isn't hard or irritating. The face of the mask is softer and looser, so it moves a little bit more, which can be annoying- but for me it's still better than having one that's itchy, irritating, and immovable. Of course, nothing is entirely comfortable... But still- considering that masks DO work and have to be worn where I work, five stars.

Our hospital stopped carrying these, and I love them because they are thin and breathable. I have to wear a mask all day at work, and they are very soft and comfortable. They fit a smaller face which is what I need. They’ve kept me safe for 2 .5 years. Also, the thinness keep me from getting over heated due to its breathability. Less makeup transfer is an additional bonus. Terrible shipping!!!! They shipped them in a paper bag, WTH? In what world would a thin paper box not get crushed during shipping. Bad on the seller.

I had a box of REAL Halyard So Soft masks and know what the real masks feel and look like. The masks are cheap and very thin. They have no ASTM rating which they should come with. Do not buy if you are looking for the real deal. These are fakes. If I could give a rating less than 1, I would!

The straps that go behind the ear are very soft and stretchy- this is my favorite part of the mask! I have to wear masks all day from class to class when on campus and can never seem to keep up with the nice cloth masks... those also require washing every couple of days which I don't always have time for. These Halyard disposable masks are great for day to day activities and I can reuse them too to cut down on waste. Only complaint is that when I got them, the box they came in was almost completely destroyed.

I really like these masks and since I am a school counselor and have to wear them everyday it is nice to have something soft around the ears. I am very disappointed on how these were packaged. They came with the box open and perforation ripped and the masks spilling out.

I wish I discovered this mask MUCH sooner. Unfortunately, I was in Florida Mayo Clinic with chest pain, wearing my uncomfortable mask. The ER nurse had on a comfortable looking mask on. I asked if I could have one. She explained to me, it’s the mask Mayo provides for their staff. She got me one and I wore, non-stop for about 5 hours. Fabulous size, comfortable soft ear loops, STRONG full size nose wire ( which means, safer and glasses don’t fog ) the fact that it’s longer than most, from nose to chin, means you can pull it away from your mouth some and still have tightness all around, but making it much easier to breathe comfortably. When the Dr finished with tests etc. and said it was time for me to go 👍, I asked the RN if I could take a picture of the mask box and I did. This fabulous mask company makes many different grades of masks. I did some research and ordered a box of three different types. They are all awesome. I highly recommend. MASK UP !!! I wanted to get these because I used this brand and product # at the hospital I work at. The ones at the hospital have the wire at the nose that curves perfect and the softness was also great. When I ordered these, I was not satisfied. The wire part that goes on my nose never helps keep the mask in place. It always rides further up. If I go grocery shopping, I have to keep pulling it down or folding the cloth part down a little to make it stay in place. It's very scratchy and rough. I didn't send them back because I figured they would do for short trips to the store. The thickness is good and the straps are good too.

These are "procedure"masks, intended to prevent droplet spread from the wearer (into a sterile field, for example). Their paper construction means that they're somewhat fragile and not resistant to splashes or other external moisture, but they do prevent moisture and heat from building up under the mask itself. The nose wire is long and molds well over both the nose and cheeks for a good seal, preventing fogging eyeglasses, and the vertical length allows good chin coverage even when speaking. Wear for the day, then throw it away.
