Mysore Sandal Soap, 150 grams Units 5.29 Ounce (Pack of 12)

I used to bring this back from India on yearly trips. It is the genuine product. NO SULFATES OR PARABENS. Works well in hard or soft water and leaves no residue. Doesn't leave skin dry. I use it as my shampoo, also. No need for conditioner. True sandalwood scent!

I purchased this soap to layer with my Samsara EdP. It is not really especially appropriate to use with Samsara as Samsara smells much more sophisticated than the fragrance in this soap; however, it does have a nice, strong fragrance that lingers on one's skin for a bit after bathing. The scent lingers on cloth like mad. I like it and would purchase it again, but I cannot say it smells like real sandalwood prior to the collapse in availability from over harvesting of the trees. It is still nice, though, and for the price it is a reasonably good buy. It feels soothing to the skin in the hot, humid weather of August. It might be even nicer paired with the body powder. The soap is hard and holds up quite well in water, and the lather is good, too. Overall, I recommend it if you like this type of fragrance.

very nice fresh fragrance

I have been using this soap from childhood! Tried many others for a change but keep coming back for this one. It lathers pretty well and cleans thoroughly, it also has sweet lingering fragrance ( of course soapy smell but I find it pleasing)It is not harsh on skin as well, might feel drying if you have a very dry skin. Also runs for a long time.This is the best soap in my opinion along with the green bar from Chandrika.

Nice soap! The sandalwood fragrance fills the entire bathroom. It feels fantastic, and since it doesn’t dissolve easily, one bar can last more than a month for one person.
