Nice Magnifier, as a 70 year-old this really helps me read my books with small text. I find this more convenient than using the magnifying feature on my iPad. With the iPad, you have to hold it up and away from the text that you’re trying to enlarge with a magnifying ruler you just lay it on the text and the red line helps. Keep you where you need to be.

Love it makes cross stitching easier.

Great magnification, and the blue line is a helpful feature. But, the black squares on both sides of the item are a hindrance. So, while the length is six inches, the reading field is less, making it difficult to read what's printed close to the spine.

The line on each side interfered with the text i was trying to read.

I bought this magnifying ruler mainly to help with reading small print in books and instructions without straining my eyes. The 2X magnification enlarges the text enough to make a noticeable difference, and the red guiding line makes it simple to stay on the right sentence without slipping down the page. It rests directly on top of whatever you are reading, which is convenient when you want to keep your hands free. The ruler itself feels lightweight and easy to hold or slide along the paper. The acrylic material is clear, so you can see through it clearly. Because of its compact size, it fits nicely in a bag or sits on a side table without taking up much room at all. It does have a slight limitation if you are trying to read text right next to the inner binding of a thick book, as the ends can get in the way a bit. However, for general reading, recipes, and craft patterns, it performs well and serves its purpose nicely.

I struggle with reading small print and often have trouble when I am trying to read ingredients on products in the grocery store or when I go out to eat and I need to read a menu. Sometimes I do not always have my readers handy, so this is perfect for keeping in my handbag so that it's easily accessible. The acrylic magnifier measures 6 inches long, has a red guideline marker bar that helps you line up text and has 2x magnification. It is simple but very effective and it definitely makes reading easier for me. The magnifier is very lightweight and compact and doesn't take up a lot of room. It comes in a great little plastic carrying case to help protect it as well. This was a really great discovery for me and I'm very happy to have this item. I know I will get a lot of use out of it. Beyond reading things in the situations I mentioned, I could see other applications for this including working on some of my more detailed craft projects.
