NEEWER Metal Pop Filter for Microphone, Six Layer Professional Foam Mic Isolation Shield Windscreen Cover with Flexible Arm for Podcast Live Streaming Voice Over Singing Studio Music Recording, MS044 : desertcart.co.uk: Musical Instruments & DJ Review: I’m really impressed with this pop filter. It feels sturdy and well made, especially for the price. The gooseneck arm is flexible but still holds its position once you set it, which is important because there’s nothing more annoying than having to constantly readjust it mid recording. It does a great job cutting down on harsh “P” and “B” sounds and softening breath noise without muffling the audio. My voice still sounds clear and natural, just cleaner. The metal and foam combination seems to block plosives better than the basic single mesh screens I’ve used before. The clamp attaches securely to my mic and hasn’t slipped. It took me a minute to find a good place to fit it because it’s kind of heavy in relation to my mic. But overall, setup was quick and straightforward. Overall, it’s affordable, effective, and feels more professional than the price suggests. Definitely worth it if you’re recording podcasts, voiceovers, or streaming.

This metal pop filter is a solid addition for anyone looking to clean up their audio. It’s designed to stop air blasts from hitting the microphone, which is a must-have for podcasters or musicians who want to avoid those distracting "popping" sounds in their recordings. Size and Flexibility The filter measures about 6 inches (15.2 cm) in diameter, giving you a good amount of surface area to work with. Attachment to the standarm stand is really easy - just open the clamp and tighten it down, then position the filter. It features a long flexible arm that allows for plenty of positioning options. One trade-off for that extra length is that the arm can sag a bit when it’s fully extended horizontally. The arm is really stable if the filter isn't extended too far out, but it sags a little bit if fully extended. You can usually fix this by tweaking the angle, or even using a separate stand if you need a specific, high-reach placement. You could also add an extra stand to hold the filter, if needed. Mounting and Weight The mounting clamp is sturdy and opens to about 1.5 inches (3.8 cm), which should fit most standard mic or music stands. Because the filter is metal, it is somewhat heavy. While a regular upright stand will handle it just fine, you might need to increase the tension on a desktop boom arm to keep it from drifting downward. Audio Quality and Adjustability In my testing, the filter performed exactly as it should. It gets rid of the air-blast "pops" from "P" and "B" sounds without muffling the audio or changing the vocal quality. A great design choice is that the filter is mounted on a separate hinge; this means you can rotate it to any angle you need without having to fight with the orientation of the flexible arm itself. Summary This is a well-built, effective tool that does its job without muddling your sound. It’s a great way to step up your production value, as long as you account for the weight and arm reach during your initial setup.

I was hoping for a professional addition to my recording setup. Unfortunately, my experience with it has been quite disappointing. The main issue lies in the construction of the filter itself. While the six-layer filtration system sounds impressive on paper, the plastic center piece included in the design is terrible. Instead of transparently blocking plosives, it actually gives off a noticeable whistle when air hits it and definitely colors the sound of the recording. When you are trying to capture clean audio for podcasts or voiceovers, having your pop filter introduce new noise artifacts is a complete dealbreaker. Furthermore, the entire unit is just far too bulky. While the flexible arm and clamp function fine, the sheer size and thickness of the filter head make it incredibly cumbersome to position comfortably around your microphone and workspace. Honestly, I would much rather just have a standard, inexpensive fabric mesh pop filter. They are significantly less bulky, they don't color your audio or create whistling sounds, and they get the job done just fine. Because of the negative impact on sound quality and the excessive bulk, I cannot recommend this product.
