Good quality cheap Chinese hog ring plier. Came with stainless steel made in USA hog rings. Very happy......

The hog rings slip out easily. I recommend clamping the ring slightly before applying it so they get a better grip. Otherwise good tool and it got the job done.

Just reviewed the hog rings and you will most definitely need these hog ring pliers to make it happen. These pliers are inexpensive and performed perfectly. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking to try their hand at a little upholstery. Mine turned out great!

Decent hog ring pliers. I grew up in a fencing company, so hog ringing a fence with my Dad, was part of life. These, are not pro quality, but will work for most jobs. I did take my Dremel to it, and modified mine for deeper holding of the rings. The vinyl handle covers are a joke, I took that crap off, and put duel layer heat shrink tubing on mine. Now the handle covers don't slip, or fall off. The spring is ok, the overall feel is small in my large hands. For my needs it will work for fixing/tightening lobster, and crab hoops.

Just a FYI when ordering ring pliers & rings: make sure the rings are the correct angle for the pliers. We had a pair of ring pliers for years & had to recently reorder rings. Unknownly we ordered the wrong angle on the rings. So we ordered this plier for the previous rings & ordered the correct rings for the first ring plier. So we have a ring plier & rings for each angle ring. We should be all set for making sausage in the future!

These rings (and the applier) are the only way to secure a loop in a bungee cord or shock cord. It is amazing how much force can be applied with this system.. Unfortunately I only needed 4 rings; not sure what to do with the other 96 rings. The item description picture depicted rings suggesting they were included with the applier, though not stated in the description. Fortunately I ordered these separately avoiding the delay of an additional order.

Not the best hog ring pliers, I would buy something else. The cuts aren’t deep enough so the hog ring keeps flying off when you use them. Just get a different brand, spend a little bit more and it will worth it. don't settle for junk. after 2 months of use, its beginning to fall apart
