Great price. These are my sediment filters and they are great. I pull my water out of a mountain stream and have to change filters about every three months and sometimes sooner. With that frequency it is nice to be able to get filters at a decent price.

I am sure that these filters do work as described. What is not said is that I think ( just guessing) in the manufacturing process there is a good amount of plastic dust that is left behind and thus it found its way through my whole house water system and into my kitchen with evidence in my clear water glasses, dog bowls etc., when filling water from the tap. It looks like air bubbles, but its really a white cloud of less than 5 micron fine-melted polypropylene" material I removed the filter after one day of use and my water is back to normal. I hope I can return the 3 remaining units.

Installed the filter 2 weeks ago as my first stage sediment filter and I’ve noticed better water quality over using the ribbed paper sediment filters. I have a second stage filter that I typically use a 5 micron carbon block. So far, so good! Hoping I can get at least a couple months out of the wound fiber first stage filter until I need to swap in a new one.

Used because of the high iron content in my well water. This 5 micron seems to do a good job of removing it. I change it about every 3 months. Changed the last one a little early because of the earth quake ( live near Anchorage), which caused a lot of the wells in the area to be shaken up and dirty water was coming up. Did not notice any change with this filter installed.

Unable to effectively seal the housing with this filter.

I made the big mistake assuming the big box home hardware store would have a decent filter...I was wrong and it last, maybe 3 months and then brought the water flow to a screeching halt. This filter got us back into a glorious flow.

Clears the water perfectly, no sediment in the water. Have not tasted water yet, will be installing a water filtering system as well soon. Then we will start using our well for drinking.

Delivered promptly and in excellent condition. Fit my Pentek BigBlue housing perfectly. Will check performance in 3 months, but look amd feel were comparable to OEM.
