Safariland, 6360, ALS/SLS, Level 3 Retention Duty Holster, Right Hand

Upgraded from my department issued Blackhawk Serpa Level 3 holster to this Safariland Level 3 holster and I have to say I'm beyond pleased.It's taking me a little bit of time getting used to their release mechanisms after working with the Blackhawk for so long, but practice will solve that. All in all, I like the construction of this holster much better than the Blackhawk and how it sits much closer to my body.This particular holster does not work with any added light attachments, so do be aware of that. Gun only.This is more a reflection of the ordering process and not the product itself, but I'm glad I purchased from Amazon over direct from Safariland. Not only did I end up saving like $40, I also got this in like 3 days, versus Safariland's at least 14 day 'custom made to order' policy.

I found this holster to be a perfect fit for my Glock 19 gen 4. Pushing the rotating hood forward with your thumb your thumb automatically lands on the ALS tab allowing you to pull it back and draw your weapon. I found the motions required to draw your weapon to be very fluid and natural. No hunting for buttons or tabs. I also added the Safariland 6001 SLS Sentry, SLS Safety Switch. To do this I had to permanently remove the static hood guard, but I prefer the added security the switch provides over the hood guard. So now my thumb pulls the safety switch back, rotates the hood forward and pulls back on the ALS tab allowing me to draw my weapon. It sounds complicated, but with a little practice the motions quickly become natural and all motions are performed with your thumb. Even though this is a mid ride holster I found it rode to low so I swapped out the belt loops for a high ride and like it much better. This holster is so much better and safer than the Blackhawk Serpa holsters. I can't tell you how many videos I've seen with guys trying to do a practice fast draw with the Blackhawk Serpa and end up shooting themselves in the leg. Bad guys can prevent you from drawing your weapon simply by clutching the holster. The exposed release mechanism damaged or jammed. None of that happens with this holster. With this holster, all controls are on the inside of the holster and are only easily accessed by the person wearing the holster. A bad guy will get a lesson in failure trying to remove your weapon from this holster and there is no way your weapons will ever fall out on its own - especially if you install the additional SLS safety switch. You won't go wrong with this holster and you'll get the best price here on Amazon. I've included pictures with the static hood guard removed and the safety switch and high ride belt loop added.

Great Level III holster once I had it on I started noticing all of the police officers are moving over to the same holster. You can adjust the tension to fit your gun. This is the second one I have purchased and I use the quick release so I can change guns on my belt in seconds.

Love this holster. For duty it's perfect as long as you train with it you'll be able to still have a fast smooth draw. I like the audible click for retention on all my holsters cuz once it's locked it you know it's not going anywhere! As for everyday carry or just going to store I'll usually carry iwb or use a different kydex holster. But for work, or just for that person wanting the added protection if that struggle ever came this is perfect. Even without the hood latched/locked it's not letting go of your gun. I've tried drills and having partners perform gun grabs, playing out fights on ground and standing and they've not been able to access the gun. If someone knows what their doing anything is possible but for the most part it's not leaving your side!!

Great Holster. Much better than the ones we used to have. The product is also modular, so if a certain piece happens to break on you, the individual pieces can be replaced. It does from a level 3 Retention to a level 1 very easily. Glad my Department switched to this holster. Can't beat the 2 day free prime shipping either!

It a good level 3 retention holster. A lot of security companies now are requiring level 3 holsters.

I purchased the holster on January 18th. The item delivered was not the holster depicted in the photo. The holster I received was the standard version without the ability to use a weapon light. The photo depicts the version that allows a weapon light to holstered with the weapon and the written description does not indicate the holster does not allow the use of a weapon light.

Bought for a school resource officer. VERY secure, with an amazing fit.
