LEGOCity Monster Truck 60180 Building Kit (192 Pieces)

The media could not be loaded. I really like this LEGO monster truck. LEGO has had a couple different monster trucks over the past two years, and frankly, they pale in comparison. This monster truck dwarfs them in comparison and definitely makes a HUGE statement.Pros:~ The monster truck is HUGE... check out my picture that shows the truck next to the minifig~ The two rubber bands that come with this set make the shocks on this set very realistic~ The monster truck is HUGE!~ My son almost started crying when we began building it because he was so excited~ The engine portion of the monster truck above the hood is really neatCons:~ There's only one minifig in this set... a second minifig would have been nice~ There are a few stickers and the rubber bands could be tricky for a young builder~ There are actually quite a few small pieces involved in the building process which may be a challenge for young brickers~ The ramp and the two fire pieces don't add much to the set in my opinionIn closing, I like this set and think there's a lot of playability. When I watch my son play with this LEGO set, I can't help but think that all kids will love this set. The piece to price ratio is average for a LEGO set, however, if you can find this set for less than retail price, the set quickly becomes an even better deal.If you found my review helpful, please click 'yes' below. I got this for my son who was 4 at the time to begin building sets. He loves it and has built and rebuilt it multiple times. It has held up to the rigors of his playing with it and the instructions are easy for him to follow. I would recommend it for kids to begin their Lego journey.

WIth 2 boys, we see our share of lego sets. This was my first time having rubber bands included to make springs for the undercarriage. The cool-factor went up a lot. The massive tires are really fun, too. The accessory ramp is lacking and really rather unnecessary, but the truck is great.Side-note: why do the lego city vehicles make you disassemble the roof of the cab to get the people inside and out? Whatever happened to hinged rooftops? My 4yo has trouble getting the lid easily off/on without causing disassembling other parts along side, but he loves to move people in and out of the driver's seat. We have this same issue with many of the current lego city vehicles and trucks. I'm going to get some hinge pieces and fix them myself.

This was my 6 year old son's favorite Christmas gift! He put it together with just a tiny bit of help in less than an hour. He has exclaimed it is the coolest Lego set he has ever had. It has definitely been in some major fender-benders around the house but it has held up amazingly well. The suspension feature is very cool too.

Got this for my 6 year olds birthday. He loves monster trucks so this seemed like a great choice.He built the entire thing himself and plays around with the truck all the time. It does have some pieces come off here and there as he plays, but overall it's a pretty sturdy build and can be played with easily.

Nice kit other then the short axles which results in the axels not being able to hold the front wheels on well. You end up pressing the wheels inward which results in the front eheels being tilted in No way you could push it without the wheels coming off

Really cute gift for my nephew! As is with most Lego toys, it always feels like it will be much bigger than it really is. His brother helped him build it and he had a blast with it.

I bought this for my 6 year old Grandson who is usually “on the go!” Whenever I need a little downtime when I have him, I’ll pull these out with the other LEGO sets we have and his imagination runs wild! He is so excited about figuring out how to build. It’s also great for the hand/eye coordination. For little boys you can’t go wrong with Monster Trucks!
