Can I Build Another Me?

My grandson loves this book. It is clever and inventive and fun to read to him and fun to discuss with him. I wish other books by the same author were available on Amazon.

I used this with my grade 2 students and we wrote about it making up a new me. They loved it.

It's a good book but I can't understand why it is so expensive.

Kevin decides to get a robot and train it to be him. But as the robot asks more questions about how to be Kevin, Kevin realizes more and more how complicated he is as a person and individual. Even when they both think the robot is ready, things don't quite work out.I like the moral of this story, showing how intricate a person can be. I'm not always a fan of the illustration style. Overall ok, and a good book to talk about what it means to be human.Notes on content: Two butt shots and some bathroom humor.

5 year old really enjoyed this book and the illustrations are lovely. It was a great prompt for discussion about what makes our personalities different and what makes you, you.

I bought this book for my child in anticipation of a likely ADHD diagnosis. Perfect for celebrating their individuality, unique and brilliant character, talents and gifts. Simple yet perfect for opening up conversation. Pictures are brilliant in supporting the text too. My favourite book for children of this summer.

日本語版も持っていますが、良い翻訳だと思います。子供に教材として使うのに、「日本語版と読み合せる」のか、「英語版だけで読んでいく」のか悩みます。まず、文法をしっかり学んでから教材として使うのか、それともこの本を使いながら文法を学んでいくのかでも悩みます。とりあえず、子供に渡して「これ、なんて書いてあるの？」と訊かれたら応えつつ、文法的なことは言及していません。
