Magic Makers Pro Model Magician's Wand Black and Chrome - 13.5 Inches Real Wood with Metal Tips

I am a 58 year old magician who has been away from magic for 20 years, and I'm just now recollecting some of my old favorites so I can perform again. I started buying up some magic tricks here in 2012 and of course I needed a magic wand. At first I purchased one of the cheap plastic wands that are available here at Amazon, but that plastic wand from a different vendor was a big letdown. So I decided to pay the higher price of $30 for this professional wand and it was everything I hoped it would be! It was solid wood with brass caps and expertly made. This is a beautiful and weighted wand that feels great in the hand and adds a lot of mystique and high caliber showmanship to my shows. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I purchased this and did not get what I ordered. I did get a black want with chrome tips, but it is not the one in the picture. I received a PLASTIC wand that does NOT detach. My guess is that this wand is not the one I ordered. I actually looked for this particular wand to order so I knew what to expect since I saw the same one used for a show at my local SAM. Don't waste your money ordering this unless you don't care about a quality wand. Order from Penguin (if they ever get it back in stock) or get the Cerebro wand. The Cerebro wand is a bit more pricey, but at least it can be assured you won't get a cheap Chinese plastic knockoff Note: I have not dealt with vendor to deal with this issue. I will contact them soon and see if it can be resolved Update: I contacted the seller and it was resolved. Apparently, it was the wrong wand sent to me. I will definitely make a favorable review once the correct wand is in. The seller is doing a great job handling this issue as of now Update: Changed review score. Wand was replaced with correct wand. Correct wand is top notch quality

The workmanship is good and the wand weight is great and well-balanced. It is a two-piece screw assembly which mates nicely. The black barrel material appears to be hard plastic rather than wood but other than that, the wand is well constructed and should last for a very long time provided you don't use it to beat an audience member or assistant over the head :0).
