Sole wears out quickly
I purchased these boots last January'22 and wore them on/off for 2-3 months. I've put them on in the past week with the wet and cold weather returning and I'm disappointed to realise that there are holes in the soles that I hadn't noticed at the end of last winter when the weather was drier, so although the top of the boot is in excellent condition and no rain enters, I have permanently wet socks. This is from only 2-3 months pavement walking with my dog. Disappointing considering the price and reason for purchase.

A little too sturdy for my needs but a nice balance of the Sorel styles
Nice boots but I returned them as the leather would need breaking in as it’s quite sturdy and I was needing to wear them for long periods asap. I am a 5.5 to 6 uk. All other Sorels I would get a 5 ( Caribou) and 5.5 (Carnival) but in these would need a 6. Good for those who have narrower feet than the other styles accomodate. It also has a smoother top line than the other styles where the inner boot creates a sort of collar. In order or weight on feet and big toe boxes I reckon Carribou is heaviest and most spacious (buy a size or half down) Then 1964 ( the sizes come up smaller than the Carribou ) then 1964 which gives a bit more flexibility to the foot but likewise needs a slightly smaller size 5.5 fits me in that. All are super waterproof. I have worn Carnivale in deep snow and have nice dry feet.

Cool winter boots
I’m still wearing them in, I think it’s going to take awhile because they are made of real leather. But this means that when they are worn and they will be more comfortable and more breathable. I’m really really really pleased with them. I live in The north of England where it rains nearly all the time, I wanted something to wear that it’s reasonably smart are you not a walking boot for tramping around on a daily basis. I love them.

Sturdy quality boots
Really pleased with quality. I have fairly wide feet so ordered half a size up to allow for winter socks, toe room is just right and feel if I had opted for my normal size the boots may have proved too shallow from toes to soles. Had a long walk in boots and all over so comfortable for first use with the exception of being aware of top of boots at calves as they are slightly higher than my usual boots but no rubbing etc. Would recommend cushion insert for extra comfort on balls of feet. Went through mud and soggy wet fields with dog, feet cosy warm and dry. Would definitely buy again.

Good but size down
Bought these for a trip to Iceland after seeing really good reviews. I do really like them but they’re a lot bigger than I expected (look and fit wise). I’d size down by half a size. The boots are warm but I’d still recommend some thick socks. They’re also not super grippy on the ice.The weirdest thing is that they’re quite stiff around the ankles, yet they’re not the most supportive. They’re really good boots but I just wish I’d known about the sizing and grip before I bought them as I’d probably have gone for an alternative.

Delighted so far
Size 5; my usual size too small- the depth was too shallow around the base of the laces and so too tight with thin socks, no way were they going on with thicker/ double socks. Replaced with a size 6 which, in some ways, feel way bigger than 1 size up. The toe box is really wide as well as long but the rest of the boot; sides, heel, is spot on. They are very warm and are safe underfoot in the snow - not so in icey hard pack- but then what is? No rubbing at the top on the back of my calf which I’ve read about elsewhere, and I guess the unbuckle will soften over time. Laces are really easy to tighten and loosen and loosening them right off to the bottom lace rings is necessary for easy removal. I was hesitant to spend £££ on them but do far I’m delighted with them. Fingers crossed the rubber won’t split as other buyers have reported.Maybe I should have gone for a 5.5 ?

Good for walking in snow, dancing and driving for hours. Very warm and nice look!
I am very happy with the boots.I have to say at the beginning they hurt my ankles, but after that they did not do it anymore and I wore them for the remaining days of my holidays.I wore them in Iceland for the New Year, walking in ice and snow. And still very warm when spending a few days in the North of the country. You can dance with them for hours, do nice walks and drive for hours.I always wore them with wool (winter) shocks. Size was perfect and I was a bit afraid of that, because it was my first experience buying shoes online. I have a 3 or 3.5 UK size, 35 European size and they fit perfectly. My feet are quite thin so I get plenty of space, so I feel more confortable. I think for a normal size should be good too.

Excellent quality but incorrect used description
Perfect. Excellent quality. Haven't worn properly yet. Knocked one star down as I would describe the used condition as good. Not like new. The box was battered and the boots have a large scuff and red dots on them. However for the price I paid not sure I can complain
