Gilding Adhesive 120ml

In my experience, this product stands out on multiple levels: it’s super easy to work with (any bubbling smooths out effortlessly with a soft or foam brush), it dries quickly to a clear finish, the tack window is impressively long (up to 48 hours with no loss of adhesion), works well on a variety of surfaces (even wood), and being water-based makes application forgiving and cleanup simple. After trying several other adhesive products that either dried too fast or lost tack quickly, this one has become my go-to. Perfect results every time without the frustration. Highly recommend for gold leaf projects! It’s worth what you pay for.

I've been using this gilding paste for at least 2 to 3 years now and I absolutely love it. I've tried several different brands and this one is fabulous, it never dries out so you can work for as long as you need and even lay your metal leafing the next day if you need to so you can really take your time on your artwork!

10/10. Seriously amazing. I have tried EVERYTHING to gild on so many surfaced. And I was stingy because I thought “why do I need to buy a special glue for my gold leaf?” And then after being soooo frustrated and ruining one of my art pieces for the 3rd time, I bit the bullet. Y’all. This is the best. It works on EVERYTHING. On furniture, canvas, acrylic paint, resin, glass. It’s amazing and you know exactly when to put it on because it’s like an LED blue and turns perfectly clear when it’s ready. This formula doesn’t lie. Buy this.

Really good adhesive for leaf - goes on very thin with no bubbles. The glue has a blue iridescence to it when wet, allowing you to see exactly where it has been applied and if it has pooled. It's ready to have leaf applied after drying for 30 minutes, and stays tacky for a good while. NOTE: this product loses 1 star because the jar format is terrible - after a couple of uses, the glue congeals on the cap and neck thread, making it hard to open. Its also easy to spill when trying to prize the lid off! RECOMMEND: open the product and transfer to different container!

As an obsessed gilding artist, I've tried many adhesive products. My husband, who is also an artist, often strays to other adhesives and is ALWAYS sorry when he does and asks me to fix his mistakes. The adhesive is the one and only brand I will use and during the last couple of years as the supply chain grows thin, I have learned to simply wait until it's back in stock to finish a product. Now we always have a spare jar in case we run out. The value on Amazon for the large jar is not beatable by any other supplier. Tried and true and makes our projects stunning. A mist have in our art supply arsenal!

This works well but my problem was the difficulty in removing the lid upon receiving item. I would purchase again because it's a great value for the amount of product you get, adhesive holds well and good durability. It doesn't take much product so you have enough for many projects. Just be ready to deal with a glued lid that is hard to remove.

Best gilding glue. I’ve tried two other very good gilding glues before. But this is by far the best. It has a bluish tinge that when dried just enough to start gilding, its bluish color disappears and becomes transparent. It’s like a self-timer. So the timing is perfect every time. Also, this has really excellent adhesion. Won’t be using anything else from now on.

This product is not good at all. It never fully dried still tacky 10 days later the gold leaf is ruined. Also, the application doesn’t self level so when you apply the gold leaf you will see all the streaking from adhesive. I recommend using dux a professional grade product with way better results
